Good luck to all the UCL teams in the FA CUP this weekend.
For me the tie of the round is Long Buckby v S&L Corby. That should be a cracker.
Another good tie will be tonight's game at Thrapston who take on Irchester.
Should be a good crowd for that one tonight.
All the best to our lads at Wellingborough who travel to Rothwell Corinths in our tie.
Lets hope we get as many UCL teams through into the next round as possible.
Good luck to you all.

Thrapston 3-2 Irchester Utd
Just got back from the game.
Irchester scored first thru a very good finish from centre forward Craig Lawman.
Thrapston had a number of chances during the first half but the Irchester goal keeper made some very good saves.
Thrapston equalised with a Jamie Russell penalty.
Irchester started the better of the second half and fully deserved to take the lead. Sean hamblin getting the goal i think.
Thrapston got back level with a good finish from Mike Houghton, and they took the lead from a Jamie russell free kick which i think took a deflection on the way which wrong footed the Irchester keeper.
The game got a bit niggly as the 2nd half went on, Thrapston left back was sent off for his second yellow, but they managed to see out the win against their local rivals.
Not a bad game, both sides tried to play their football, both teams had good spells during the game, and felt a little sorry for Irchester as i felt they maybe should have got something out of the game.
They worked hard during the match, but i did feel as though they tired a little late on. Did play some good football at times tho.
Well done to Thrapston for their victory and they go thru to the next round.
The burger and chips i had was very nice too.
Good crowd watched the game. I personally like the friday night games, i would like to see more of them to be honest
take care all.

Watched this game as well and although the quality of football was average, the entertainment was very good. Typical local derby with Irchester as the underdogs who refused to lie down. I felt Thrapston played the better passing game and if the Irchie keeper wasn't as sharp then they could have been 2 or 3 down before they scored. Lawman's goal was a good counter attack with cracking finish. Most of the people around me were from other UCL clubs and neutrals and we all said that if Thrapston just kept passing then Irchester wouldn't be able to keep up the effort they were putting in. To be fair it was only really the last 20 mins when they tired. Thrapston penalty was right in line with us and a stonewall one which even Cappo would have given. Not a great deal of contact but Ref was right up with play and had no option. Irchie fans claimed a dive but they would! 2nd Half Irchie started sharp and again caught Thrapston on the counter with another good finish from a shot/pass across the front of goal with the scorer unmarked at the back post. Thrapston lost the plot a little for the next 1o minutes but got back to passing the ball and moving which led to the equalizer then not too long afterwards a silly foul about 20 yards out led to the winner from a free kick which did take a slight deflection but was a well struck kick. Irchie squandered a good chance to equalize when Lee Gotch slipped and let in the young front man who hit it straight at the keeper. Agree with Haydn the Friday night games always seem to have a good atmosphere and decent crowds. Enjoyed this one unlucky Irchester and good luck to Thrapston against Shepshed Dynamo.

DavieC, great summary of the game. I'd agree with all of that both in content and context.
Typical derby, hard fought, missed chances, some good/some bad football, niggle, goals, sending off, chances missed, disputed decisions, etc, etc
Great entertainment!
In the end the only thing that concerns any club is getting through, either you do or you don't, nothing else matters really.

Was cameraboy at Sergeants Lawn today? I know i wasn,t fozwaldo. I was at the cricket all day today and got the call we lost 1-0. Firstly very well done to Rothwell Corinthians for their win today against our boys. Well done to Matty Clarke and Jason Thurland for earning their victory. Extremely disappointed with todays result if i,m personally honest. It just's proves that if you don,t perform up to the required standard you may come a cropper. Today we came a cropper. keep your heads up guys, lets hope it,s just a blip. Too much talent in the side not to put things right. I still love yah. All the best to Corinths in the next round.

13 Ucl teams managed to progress thru to the next round of the Fa Cup.
Well done to all of them that won. Lets hope too that Desborough can get through after their replay as well.
