The lads will be looking to right the wrongs of saturday's performance and result, and i think it,s a good thing we have another game very quickly to focus on.

Wellingborough 3-0 Yaxley
Goals from: DAN SURIDGE 49 MINS JASON TURNER (PEN) 80 MINS CHRIS DEFANTE 84 MINS
Great response from the team after saturday's FA CUP match.
!st half was a tight affair. Wellingborough's best chance was a deflected Jason Turner shot which hit the post. Yaxley looked a threat going forward with their quick attacking play and brought off a couple of great saves once again from Shaun Markie.
2nd half we were better and played much better football. Dan Surridge scored after 49 mins after a good ball in from the right from mark redding, Dan Surridge shot through a crowded box to make it 1-0.
Yaxley didn,t give up and once again attacked forward creating chances once more, but a combination of good defending and good goal keeping kept Yaxley at bay.
We went 2-0 up on 80 mins after Dan Surridge was fouled inthe box. Jason Turner slotted the penalty home.
Chris Defante then made it 3-0 on 84 mins. The ball came in from the left from speedy Dan Webster and there was Chris Defante to slot home from close range.
Very impressed with Yaxley. Very hard working, have great pace, attack quickly, and were a constant threat throughout the game. They will be disappointed and probably think they should have got something out of the game with the chances they created.
Delighted for our boys. They would have taken some stick from the FA CUP defeat, and the fans were looking for a performance and hopefully a win. We got both last night. We had to grind out the win last night, but really proud of the effort the boys put in for the team.
Thanks to all the Yaxley fans who came to the ground last night. Hope you enjoyed your stay and we all look forward to the return fixture later on in the season.
