what a game we hav tomorrow SnL Corby vs Irchester, new manager at Irchester (looks like he knows his football) against former mananger D.Y and a few of the former romans players.both not doing well in league but with only one team that has everything to lose. The romans are buzzing at the min i know they lost tuesday but scott has brought with him a whole new wave of confidence and a couple off players and i fancy 3-1 win to the romans ,with dan beaman doing wonders in the res and u18s i think the future is looking bright down alfred street .

Good result today for Desborough, hopefully it can give the lads some confidence to go and achieve our first league win of the season.
It means that the Wellingborough game will have to be re-arranged for a later date.
Looking at other UCL scores it's a shame Irchester couldn't have the last laugh by knocking S&L out of the Vase, i persume that the Spencer game was 3-3 at the end of normal time?

Cheers for that, must have been one hell of an extra time over there!
At least there will be nine representatives flying the UCL flag in the first round proper, how many do you think will still be in the competition come the Quarter-Finals?

well well well just home from witnessing the worst game of football i have ever seen. Holwell against Blackstones. Well done to Holwell 3 - 1 winners , at least they wanted to win, but the referee must also have been the most inept official i have ever seen, bookings being given out as if they were on offer from a super market sweep!! Then to finish off with a bang he sends off the home keeper and awards a penalty for a blatant block on the on rushing forward then at the other end the visiting keeper brings down the Holwell forward for a def pen and he takes no action on the keeper!!! Back to the footy, well the home sides second goal was a good control , turn and shot but the higher league team from Blackstones were pretty much abysmal, I understand they are playing for "peanuts" ? but please show a bit of passion for your team, number 11, 7 , 8 not fit to wear the shirt, theres better ex players watching from the sides that could do better even now, and if the managers cant show some restraint also from the side lines then you are going to struggle on for the rest of the season my friends. I know a lot of people down at the Stones and can only commiserate with them so come on you players/managers show them you care and get some passion in your game.

Judge, get a grip... With regards to the result and who deserved to win, you're absolutely right. But I think you're going over board to say the very least with the rest of your comments... Compared to previous and recent years at Blackstones, they're playing for "peanuts". If you've got any issues with regards to expenses players receive, go and watch Stamford Bells or Rhyall United. These better ex-players watching from the sidelines - get them to get their boots and get down training, I'm sure that Darren and Michael would be only too pleased to see what they can offer. You talk about the 7, 8 and 11 not being fit to wear the shirt? Have you been watching all season? Did you see the S&L games, Spalding, Kimberley? You talk about committed players, two of the players that so disappointed you gave up their time to help raise funds at a recent charity day for the club. They don't have to do that. In fact, most players at most clubs certainly wouldn't. Would your wonderful overpaid players of yesteryear done that? What would you like the players you mention to do? Kick lumps out of the opposition to prove their worth? Maybe that's your level of football knowledge... As for the managers needing to show restraint, a manager was sent off.... Wow! Shock and horror! For your information, the referee sent off one of the managers for a comment that came from beside the dugout and not from either manager. As for struggling for the rest of the season, I'm sure they'll be ok come May. I'm sure that the conduct of the management team won't be the cause for any struggle. If you're a Stones fan - and I believe you certainly are - then maybe you should just get behind the players and management team instead of criticising. They've done a good job on and off the pitch last season and so far this. It's almost as is you're trying to drive them out of your town as they're not 'local lads'. With regards to your closing sentence... You won't find a more committed set of players or management team. They've already given far more than recent Stones sides. So no need to commiserate with them.
