On behalf of everyone associated with Whitworth football club, I'd like to thank Rushden and Higham football club for their donation of 50% of Saturdays Junior cup game gate receipts. R and H do not have a wealthy benefactor, just a hard working committee, the same as Whitworths. Times are hard for all clubs so an act of generosity like this is extremely welcome. In a time when worldwide football has accusations of bribery and corruption, English stars are on the front page rather than the back, it's nice to see local, grass roots football flying the flag for decency
