As Chairman of Burton Park Wanderers I would like to on behalf of the Committee, Management, Players, Volunteers and Supporters to wish Sam Hearn of Harborough Town a very speedy recovery from a quite horrific injury. I would like to thank everybody at the ground who was able to help and assist, and to also thank the emergency services for their assistance. Alas injuries happen in football and to any payer no matter how young or old they can be devastating. I hope that when the game is rearranged that Sam will be able to come down to Polwell Lane to let us know how his recovery is going. We wish all the management and players of Harborough Town well and look forward to seeing them again in better circumstances.

Everybody echos your words Mr Chairman, lets hope Sam makes a full recovery.
I also noticed that another game was abanded involving Huntingdon and Eynesbury reserves for another bad injury, lets hope that player also makes a full recovery.
All the best to those who were injured today.
get well soon.

Thanks for those kind words both of you, all teams in the UCL have fierce battles on this pitch, but I think it is like a family off it, never more so that on occasions such as these
The young lad has suffered a double break seven minutes into his debut no less, everyone at Harborough Town is having a whip round for him, and we all hope we see him again soon in a Harborough shirt, and it would be superb if he could be around for the restaging of the match at Burton Park, I believe he actually lives near Burton Latimer.
