I've noticed that the two Rothwell teams have been playing at home (and consequently) away at the same time on most occasions this season. With money being tight and Town especially having financial problems would it have not been helpful for the league to have them at home on alternative weeks?. Perhaps it wouldn't make too much difference to the attendance, but there is the possibility the casual fan in the Rothwell area might fancy watching a match and finding them both away at the same time.

Without wishing to ruffle any feathers, and I am just an interested follower of football locally and have no axe to grind, one has to wonder whether a town the size of Rothwell can 'support' two teams in the same division, especially bearing in mind Rothwell Town's relatively precarious state. Would the town not be better fully getting behind one team rather than two. Just a thought.

Very true Millie! The league table does not lie! Even if Rothwell town didn't have the points deduction, Corinthians would be still be 7 points ahead.

Millie, you slightly miss my point. It was about sustainability not who is better than who. Using Football Mitoo stats Corinths home avg gate is 27, Rothwell Towns in 66. Local football is less about tribalism than watching local football. Surely a healthy gate of 93 (assuming everyone is different, which I suspect not, which in itself would mean the 'crowd' are happy to watch local football than one team in particular) and a well run club would be better for all rather than what is happening at the moment. I have no vested interest in either team, it's just a point of view.

There should be a big crowd at Cecil Street for the derby on boxing day! Anybody have an opinion on which way the result will go? Based on current form, I would predict a win for the Corinthians.

Considering we don't have a Saturday side this season, this fixture has been proposed as our "AFC R & D On Tour" match, so we'd be hoping to bring a few fans along to help swell the coffers. It'll also give us a chance to look at some teams in this division, should we be placed in it next season.

I would be very surprised if you were placed in the ucl The chances are that you would have to have a season in the northants comb and work yourselves up from there It would be nice to see the league committee make some form of dispensation in your case but don't hold your breath

I think you will find that its the FA that make the decision not the UCL

I think the FA decides the level, then leagues at that level decide whether to take them or not.
