R&H Utd 2 v 1 Bugbrooke
This game betwen two sides in the top four was watched by a season's best crowd just short of the three figure mark. Defences were generally on to it in the first half with neither keeper seriously tested. However shortly before the interval the visitors lost their keeper with a hand injuryt following a clash with Craig Harrower for which the latter was cautioned.
R&H took the lead just two minutes into the second half when Mark Weekley's brave diving header beat substitute keeper Ryan Dufty. Bugbrooke then dominated the attacking play in search of an equaliser but only once threatened to score with a close range header that Craig Patterson was able to save. With ten minutes remaining R&H were able to get men forward with an attack down the left and Lewis Odell met the cross which Dufty could only help into the net.
Bugbrooke were given a lifeline three minutes later when awarded a free kick on the edge of the R&H area, Craig Patterson pushing away the original shot but only to Ashley Bradshaw who forced the ball home.
Despite the visitors best efforts they were unable to craft an equaliser and saw R&H leapfrog them in the table to hold second place albeit with further games to play on the day that could change the position.

Did Bugbrooke have a sub keeper or did an outfield player go in?

Oh, that explains a few things then. Still, another win for Rushden and Higham.

Badger, are Huntingdon the only side to have impressed you so far this season?
