Many thanks to Rushden & Higham United for agreeing to play the match on Saturday following St Ives decision to play last week's postponed FA Vase game against Gresley instead.
Admission prices will be confirmed shortly I'd imagine.

I'd hardly blame St Ives...... I wasn't "blaming" St Ives for anything, just stating the fact that we were scheduled to play at home to St Ives in the league on Saturday.

You stated it was their "decision". Imposed I'd say,so not their decision to play elsewhere...

The FA told them to play on Feb 11th - The weather and travelling dictated any replay would be the following week (some scope to say that this could have been midweek - but unfair on the travelling team) - Therefore as it wasn't a replay, the FA instructed the league to make St Ives available for the following Saturday. Unfortunate but as I said, St Ives didn't choose their fixture, they were made to play this Saturday in the FA Vase, which ranks higher than the league....

Thanks for filling us in, it's obviously a shame we couldn't return to league action at the weekend but hopefully the fact Saturday is a non-competitive fixture will not put off any individuals from attending.

Final Score was 4-1 and it was a very good game.
I counted 17 in the ground during the game but a few more came in throughout the second half- despite the generous admission prices of £2 and £1.
Although this was only a friendly it was a very good performance by the lads and hopefully they can go on and replicate it on Wednesday down at Daventry.
There was no officials from Rushden & Higham at the game whatsoever, the only individual not playing for them who was present was some lad in one of their tracksuits who was running the line.

I would imagine that theofficials were with their reserve side in the cup semi-final. Cup semi trumps a friendly....

Obviously a home semi-final in the Junior Cup was always going to triumph over a friendly match but to not have 1 representative at the game is wrong. I mean it's not that far to travel from Rushden to Desborough.
