Ongoing issues with Buckby's floodlights means tonight's match has been postponed!
Buckby had reported to the League there were a number of lights on each column still out, they hadn't issued requested grid to prove minimun required lighting level had been achieved.
Liability for players safety meant fixture had to be postponed at 10.00 pm last night.
Disappointing to say the least!

I'd have said disgusting, to say the least! And us "little clubs" still strive to get everything right, eh! Try a little more cash on the facilities and a little less on the players, eh!

Does that same player safety take into account pressure on players to fit in all these games,as well as working? Will they have any more evening games this season,or will they put pressure on other teams to play back to back games at weekends? Our lights don't work so lets put pressure on our opposition teams to play twice in a weekend! I'm with Kevin here,i think at this level of football its a disgrace that a team can't sort its lights out!

Couldn't Buckby move their remaining midweek fixtures to a different ground like Woodford for example?
Just a thought

Surely they shoul just not pay the players "expenses" for a couple of weeks and invest that money on sorting out the light situation? Or make buckby play their home fixtures as away fixtures, I'm sure the loss revenue from a few home games would soon change their priorities on where money is spent.

Any Buckby games that are re-arranged due to floodlight failure should be played at a time that is best for the opposition, and not Long Buckby,if that means they have 5 games in one week tough!

Doesn't matter what time of the season it is,the fact remains their facilities are sub-standard,should have been up to the required standard by 31st March! Other teams in other leagues have actually been demoted for failing to reach the standard by 31st March, not that i am calling for this, but how far down the league structure would you have to drop with no floodlights? Are parts for 20 year old floodlights now obsolete? I believe that is when they were last refurbished?

See that Buckby are playing PNS at Northampton Spencer and their Reserves are playing a game at Daventry Town. Is this the future, will Spalding play at Holbeach, gravel allowing, will Bourne play at Blackstones, gravel allowing, will Kings Lynn share with Pagnell? What a complete and utter joke! Get the bloody ground right first, then the team.

If only it were a joke Kevin, then we could all roll round the floor laughing. If has been said that ground gradings were done last week, with no floodlights Long Buckby would be eligible to play at step 7,never mind apply for step 4! No pun intended, but why are they keeping everyone in the dark as regards to the state of their ground? Or have the FA gone against all precedents and passed the ground fit before the required works are carried out?

I'm sure if Long Buckby wish to play Kings Lynn at Desborough on 14th April we could come to some amicable arrangement, especially as neither our firsts or ressies have a game on that day, (and the lights work).

Yes, I'm sure Kings Lynn supporters would rather make a straight forward journey up the A14 than into the wilderness that is Long Buckby. I'd be all for it! especially if Lynn were to bring as many as they brought to the Waterworks back in the Winter and would take full advantage of the bar/refreshment facilities ;D

If a team cannot play their home game at home then they should play it as an away game at the other team's venue not at a neutral pitch. Why should another club benefit from the inability of one club being unable to host the match. Long Buckby should either travel to the other teams's ground or forfeit the points - and this should apply to all remaining matches, not just King's Lynn.
