Crewe was it rings a bell , Crewe to Villa to Bari to Samps to Juventus back to samps then to arsenal 4/5 mill each time wern't it ? I put this post up just off the top of my head and im not 100% sure Stan Collymore must have went for a few bar aswell

Vieri is a good shout and must have went for a few bob total although he was an outstanding player at the time . Started the thread thinking about more average players like mentioned at the top of page who have ended up going for a lot of transfer money combined . John Hartson went for a few quid a few times didnt he ?

I guess that argentinian chap Veron had his fair share too. Who was the Chelsea player who went on loan to Italy? Can't think of his name but he has had a few too. Transfers and monetary value that is...

Diouf , theres a good player in there somewhere Crespo is your man me thinks , again though id possibly say top proven player along with Veron minus his stint at Old Trafford . Arsenal bought a young Hartson for good money 2/3 m , then he had moves to West Ham , Wimbledon and Celtic . Not 100 % sure on the order but there was a couple of 5 m moves and the crazy gang paid 7.5 for him Chris Sutton had 1 or 2 biggies aswell

I missed the "average player" bit and seemed to have gone on transfer fees alone.
Crespo, young Herman, I remember now...

I know he only had the one big move, but Seth Johnson to Leeds, 8m i think and 60k a week, daylight robbery! Also Robbie Fowler, absolute legend of a player but Leeds were still paying him when he was at Man City and Liverpool!!!! Good old Risdale.

Seth Johnson to Leeds, 8m i think and 60k a week No where near 60K a week mate - get ya facts right!! But have to admit 35k was well over the top for a player who went into the meeting with Ridsdale asking for 25K hoping to get 18K.

Yeah that was classic Ribsdale and he is a typical example of a good buisness man whos heart starts to rule his head with football . Having said that O'leary knew how to play the game and just a bit too happy to spend other peoples money Not sure where O'leary is at the moment but i dont think chairman will ever take a risk on him again cos he started his nuts again at Villa ... In this ££$$ climate he has got no ******* chance
