Just thought it would be worth a thread to acknowledge not only the football career but also the life of a true gentleman and great man of our times who sadly passed away this morning. I had the pleasure of meeting Sir Bobby several times and what you saw on the telly was how he was.Anyone who saw the England-Germany game at the weekend will understand what he meant to the game. It's a sad day for anyone involved in football at any level and one that I'm sure the UCL will recognise on kick off saturday.

one that I'm sure the UCL will recognise on kick off saturday. That would be an excellent mark of respect, and one that I hope clubs and officials remember

Hear, hear. A true great in the world of football. Finally succumbed to the dreaded 'C' after bravely battling it 5 times.

a tremendous man with tremendous courage. Fought his health problems with the same courage as he fought his footballing challenges. Always had a smile on his face even in the most adverse times.
A great man manager and a legend in every sense of the word.
RIP Bobby.
