This Saturday the 28th April marks the end of an era at Sleaford Town FC as Brian Rowland steps down as 1st Team Manager after 33 years. During this time he will have managed 1283 competitive matches, won 3 league titles, finished runner up 3 times, reached 18 cup finals and won 12 of these. This is alongside having played in excess of 500 games for the club. I'm sure you will all agree that this is a phenomenal achievement and we wish to give him the send off that this deserves. If any of you are at a loose end on Saturday and wish to come witness a small piece of football history then please feel welcome to make your way down to Eslaforde Park. It would be great to think we could get a bumper crowd and show him just how respected he is throughout the footballing community.

Nothing will be decided until after the end of the season. As you say massive act to follow but whoever is appointed will have the full support of Brian I'm sure to assist them. Although no role has been confirmed I'm fairly certain Brian will still be involved with the club in some capacity.

Brian a truly top man, I am sure hope we see him next season, a relatively new friendship, but commanded respect from the moment we locked horns, football needs these guys more than ever.

33 years as manager - speaks for itself. Unrivaled dedication through thick and thin - from times when the club had no money, no committee and struggling for players to taking the club to new heights when joining the UCL. Anyone thats shook Brian's hand will literally have been left an impression they will not forget. A legend that I had the pleasure of playing for for 14 years.

Heard a little rumour that Paddy Rayment was in line for the job This one I can quash. Pat did come and have a meeting with the club halfway through this season but both parties decided it wasn't the right opportunity at the right time. He has since been appointed at Spalding and I have no reason to believe they are anything but happy with how he is doing so can't see why he won't be there next season. I know he has been very busy speaking to players to strengthen their squad so seriously doubt he is considering changing clubs.

Yeah really good ta Clippo although I thought things were meant to calm down after the season finished! I'm blooming busier than during it! I'll pass on your kind words to Brian. See you next season.
