Just done a very quick trawl of all the league sites and there look to be 12 applicants who have either won or are likely to win their leagues. There are a couple who have finished 2nd. Then of course there's the issue of ground gradings ... has the recent FA independent inspection team thrown up any anomolies for clubs that don't even reach grade F (e.g. LB) ... we've heard rumours that there are serious issues down south What a can of worms !!! Jeff By the way, isn't it great to be able to sit on a train and do all this - thank you East Coat!

All might not yet be lost for Kings Lynn. Of the 14 Step 5 leagues the following champions have applied for promotion: - Gresley Retford / Bridlington from Northern Counties East – either could still win league Guildford City Witham Town Herne Bay Royston Town Ramsbottom United Wroxham Three Bridges Winchester City Merthyr Town
Plus of course Long Buckby who can’t go up and the Hellenic League has been won by Oxford City Nomads who have not applied. That leaves the Northern League, where Vase finalists Dunston UTS (who have applied) need to win their last 2 games to win the title. 1 of those is against Spennymoor Town who would win the title themselves if they won that game, whilst a draw would hand the title to West Auckland Town who are top at present, but neither them or Spennymoor applied for promotion.
By my reckoning that would mean 11 league winners would be promoted plus the 2nd team with the best points won % out of those available which is comfortably Kings Lynn???

Let's all hope that Dunston win both games then, eh!
