A sad day for not only the UCL but also journalism with the news that the Licensed Cranks have produced their last-ever column in the Evening Telegraph. Even with their final words, they support the UCL ethos and attack the coming implications of the FA review Group proposal. As experienced men, the written word confirms what they feel about the situation and on an almost weekly basis, speak for many of us through a public news column. We hung on every word and will miss them. It's a shame they won't be writing columns through next seasons challenges. Thank you Gentlemen and good luck. You're always welcome to Occupation Road.

I have to share your disappointment that the Licensed Cranks is no more.
For me that article was the only reason I bought the Evening Telegraph on a Saturday as the rest of the content in the weekend edition especially "Down Your Way" is dreadful.
Mick Dean and Ian Addis highlighted many of the goings on in UCL circles including a couple of pieces on the FA proposals and also on the new Clubhouse opening at Desborough which Ian Addis spoke at.
Many thanks to Mr Dean and Mr Addis for the fantastic articles they produced nearly every week, best of luck to both of them in the future and I hope to see them at a Desborough Town match in the not so distant future.
