Well played St Ives
As I arrived at Yaxley at 1330 to watch the game I paid £5 (not £8 Long Buckby) and parked my car FREE (not £3 Long Buckby). I also paid £1 for a UCL Programme.
Bargain!
Then I sat down, opened up and looked at Page 3 - no not that sort of Page 3.
There it quite clearly stated that the Entry Price was £5 (including programme).
When I pointed this out to the UCL Programme Sellers they stated that "it was a error and anyway it was a bargain".
I am not being a skinflint - it was a reasonable price for entry and for the programme - BUT - UCL what a blunder and why not admit it, delete the "error" from every programme by hand or tell buyers as they purchased the programme that it contained the error and apologise.
I don't expect a reply or even an apology from the UCL - they did not have the decency to reply to my complaint to them about the rip-off prices at Long Buckby or the lack of stewarding at Long Buckby or the trouble caused by the Long Buckby "stewards" at the end of the match.
UCL, have some guts and respond to the fans complaints and concerns.
Won't hold my breath.

out of pocket by a £ shocking. you should call trading standards. this exploitation of non league supporters, by money grabbing officials is getting out of hand.

Not "out-of-pocket", I was quite happy with the prices but not happy about the lack of PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL by the UCL. They knew about the "mistake - error" call it what you want. They just buried their heads and hoped that no one would notice. Someone at UCL wrote the script and someone must have approved it. Then someone decided that it was "an error".

What was the point of that tirade entitled UCL cup final? Just have to say a big well done to all concerned at Yaxley for the marvellous way everything was organised today,as normal for Yaxley.May i suggest if you want to carry on with the Long Buckby money grabbing slaggy thugs theme, then please start a thread entitled as such?

WestLynn, Please do try and hold your breath. Would you like Long Buckby to apologise for winning the league as well Apologise for being the best team over the season - NO. Apologise for ripping the fans off - YES Apologise because they couldn't organise a p**s up at a brewery - YES Apologise because they employed "stewards?" who would be better off as bouncers (sorry - doormen) at a nightclub - YES

Grissles, I have no problem with way Yaxley organised a great day out, they were very hospitable and every Yaxley official I spoke to were very welcoming. Where did I say anything derogatory about Yaxley? It was the UCL officials and their error that I was complaining about. And if I want to have a rant about Long Buckby alongside another topic - I will.

Having a dig at the appalling way we were treated on the allotment at Long Buckby, should be on an anti Buckby thread. Any complaints about the way the UCL parts of the afternoon were ran does actually reflect on Yaxley,as the game was at their ground.

I am glad no-one was saying anything bad about Yaxley... as usual our hospitality shines through.
I did hear one complaint from a Kings Lynn fan after the final whistle but I understand how upset that lady must have been with the result.
And if you are in the UCL next season, I would hope that she would come back to see us again.
