Not had too much time to digest ins & outs, but first thought about the decision to promote London Welsh and relegate Newcastle from Rugby's Premiership could have a potential knock on effect across sports?
With the independent panel of 3 QC's ruling that the decision not to promote Welsh because of lack of primary use of Oxford United's football ground was right by league rules but that those rules contravened both EU & UK competition law it does make you wonder about rules governing promotion & relegation across all levels of football.
I think this ruling could make a matter of time before a club in football at some level takes the same route?
