Q. Should the UCL accept teams into the UCL Div1 whose grounds dont meet regulations?
As the number of teams in Div 1 dwindle should the UCL invite teams such as Rushden Rangers, Moulton, Heyford etc etc. Whose grounds or teams dont quite come up to scratch be given the opportunity to try at a higher level? ( Apologies to the teams I have missed out)

yes i was talking to there committee member and he told me that the work needed to be done could have been done over say 12 months but the ucl gave them 4 weeks to finish all works - this was not possible so they withdrew - they have lights, pitch rail dugouts etc more than some in div 1

( Apologies to the teams I have missed out) Yes i do. Within reason. ie Having fence suroundings around the pitch, any existing stand etc... isnt just about to fall down...! I think that they should lax the rules and give the team the season they are in UCL div 1 the time to upgrade there ground (Thats if they have the finances to do that). The Needingworth thing is terrible! As long as the 'Health & Safety' aspects of the ground is OK i dont see a problem? Does anyone think that snobery is creeping into football?

I know the manager of Oundle Town and they are working towards the UCL. It is interesting that some of the clubs in that Peterborough League have much better gates than the local UCL clubs.
It is not unusual for Whittlesey United to get over 200... should we be looking to bring these clubs on board if they are agreeable to the extra travel?

Standards should not be lowered. Simple as that. Unfair on other clubs/fans etc... Get the ground sorted then apply. Simple. So there. Thats it. Full Stop. Ha. !. .
Btw... isn't Rushden Rangers ground good enough? I'm sure it's better than the likes of ON Chenecks..?

its the Football association which set the rules on entry at step 6.. and above. its the FA who are raising the bar which most clubs at step 7 will find hard to reach. Step 6 clubs who canot met the ground criteria will drop down.... to step 7 and equally find it hard to get back up! be careful what you wish for!!

Rushden Rangers ground isnt up to spec because wait for it......
The fence is about 6 inches to low!
You can see through parts of it!
There are a few other things but nothing that couldnt be fixed.

Thats was meant to happen a few years back but never came off.
But you never know....
Higham need a ground and Rushden Rangers need a manager.

It seesm Roade Rangers have set their sights on UCL membership as well. A number of current UCL players have decided to go there and try to put a championship-winning side together.
From what I've seen they have it all in place, and I understand they even have the floodlights ready to install.
Should be interesting.

Good news. The more the merrier!
Do you know who any of these players are so we can get an idea of the strength of team they will have?

I believe that they have approached Scott Carlin to manage the side but he has already taken another post.
