What game will everyone be going to for new year?
I'm off outside the UCL for a new year game at Lutterworth Town, and then on 2nd Jan I'm off to Hednesford v Nuneaton.
I don't support a UCL team but do have an interest in the clubs and what is going on.

If its goals you want to see then come down to Compton Park and have a gander at how many times the Cooks can breach the long Buckby back line!!!

Just in case anyone is interested I went along to Lutterworth Town at 3pm only to find the game had kicked off at 2pm! Halftime and it was 3-1 to Lutterworth.
Ended 8-2, not a bad old game, score is a bit harsh on Earl Shilton.

I bet 'Compton Parker' feels a bit silly now. I went along to the game and Buckby played well. Most of the people I spoke to after the game felt Buckby deserved something out of the game.
Cogenhoe had a lot of possession but didn’t seem to have a cutting edge.
I also thought the ref had a very good game. Although I have never heard a ref blow his whistle for KO and then 'shout happy new year everyone'!

Well specy, you got goals and a good game diddnt you??
Although im not to sure you were watching the same game as me, i dont think Buckby had more that 1 clear chance on goal all game and the cooks hit the woodwork 4 times and had a perfectly good goal disallowed by an incompetent official, all in all a good derby performance by voth sides!!

I watched most of the game and think a draw would of been fair. The cooks had more of the ball but didn’t convert that into chances.
And the disallowed effort at the end was offside. I was standing in a good position to see and even one of the cooks committee said afterwards it could have been any 1 of 3 who he flagged.
But all in all Cogenhoe are looking a better side than when I saw them play Potton, Blackstones and Stotfold.
And I think Buckby will finish higher than their present position.
