Hello everybody,
I was just seeing if anyone else was surprised to see that Higham Town are starting to get results. 4 points in 2 games! What is going on there! I saw them lose 7-1 this year and 5-1 and they were awful. It looks like the new young manager is helping. It might be worth someone going to check it out! I think I may get up to see there game against Rothwell Corinthians next saturday. Anyone else?

Good on em.
Hope they continue to do well. They are a good club who always make people feel welcome.

Must be said though that their ground is a disgrace. No idea how they get to stay in the UCL!

I echo that comment. I appreciate the hard work put in by the players and management at Higham, but I don't see their club as legitimate. Move on is my advice!

The reason they are allowed to stay in the league is simply because they were in the league when all of he ground regs came in to being. The same as Thrapston,Blisworth,Irchester,Chenecks,Bourne, whitworths, sleaford and a few more no doubt.

Sleaford satisfied Ground regulations 2 years ago, and I dont think they have changed since. Higham joined the league when ground regulations were not as strict IE enclosed ground, Chenecks, Bourne, Whitworths,Higham, Olney

Its a bit of a time bomb as the FA will no doubt force the issue re flloodlights etc so division one clubs have to do something. if its true about Daventry going out of the league there is one less club in the division next season.. take out those without the season after... could well be a big problem. Its a bit harsh kiln Park man.. lots of peeps working hard to move on and up! but it aint easy!!

Not every club can spend £1500 a week on player wages and then get a £300,000 grant for new facilities! Anyone guess who I mean?
Teams that were mentioned above who maybe give a manager a few quid to cover his phone bill cant get a penny!
