C'mon then, they have started a thread about the best players in the prem, on the premier league site.
Which names in Division one catch peoples eye's
MATTY FREEMAN/JAMES WESTLY - WHITWORTHS JONATHON MITCHELL - WELLINGBOROUGH PAUL CAREY - EYENSBURY JAMIE SHAW - SLEAFORD ADAM TAYLOR - SIELBY RANGERS PAUL BASS - HUNTINGDON
these are a few i can think off, mainly goal getters, but they do say goals win games
JOHN HUGHES - has to be the best keeper, been around for a while now though

'ADAM TAYLOR OF WELLINGBOROUGH'
I TAKE IT HE HAS NOW LEFT SIELBY RANGERS THEN.
THAT COULD BE A GOOD MOVE, HE MAY SCORE A FEW DURING THE RUN IN

I'm sure that the divisions top scorer will agree with Jamie as Bradders hardly gave him a kick on saturday.

after playing Blisworth twice this season, i have noticed their team has changed loads since last season. What happened to the young lad up front who was unstopable at times?

Presume you mean Matt Collins, he is now starring for Spencer in the Prem. He left along with Pete Gregory who from what i can gather has also had an influential season in Spencer's resurgence.

Pete Gregory has been brilliant. We knew Matt Collins from when he played for our U18s, but Pete was a completely unknown quantity. Not only is he a top player, but he's also a top bloke and has easily fitted in with the team spirit and social side.

Either as one of two strikers, or wide on the right, depending on tactics for the day.

from what i have read on this web site it seams that spencer did a lot of work bringing in top quality players during the pre season period. Do spencer pay well?, Is Matt Collins not wasted on the right of midfield? well come to think of it his pace down the wing must cause problems for the opposition.
also do you think spencer can win the league?

Can't agree more, a great team player and a good lad off the pitch, BUTThe two burning questions regarding Pete Gregory is: A) Will he stay for a 2nd season at the same club? B) Is it a perm?

Defender - no Matty is not wasted down the flanks - with the forwards available to Spencer, it enables the manager to mix things up a bit, play him as a wide midfielder, striker or even wing-back. Don't forget we have Darren Frost as well, who has very similar attributes (pace and an eye for goal). Spencer do not pay well - I believe that they are the lowest paid players in the UCL Prem, but what this demonstrates is that the players are there because they want to play for the team, and the spirit on and off the pitch is excellent. Spencer have now appointed a Commercial Manager to increase funds, so hopefully there will be more of a wage budget for the players next season.
To be honest, there haven't been THAT many new players brought in this season from last, mainly some new midfielders. Can Spencer win the league? Yes they can. Will they? I'll tell you on April 22nd.

A) I sincerely hope so B) I'd say it has to be - although if so, his dad must visit the same hairdresser!
