You can always tell when you have had a good season. You start hearing from teams supporters who bleat on about linesman costing them the game etc etc yawn, yawn!!
may i remind you of the league official who can overrule any decisons made from the side. furthermore in our two most recent away wins v burton park and bugbrook, the oppositon hardly had an attack worthy of the name, so how the linesman influenced these results i am struggling to find an answer to.

Not sure this actually merits a response but it could be the source of some further beating of the "creditable linesmen" drum!! Can anyone get further from the point of the recent discussions on linesmen? Fantastic that Kempston are on a run and are creating a side worthy of their recent Football Foundation investment. Not so fantastic that they treat the Linesman position as something of a joke and thus heap discredit to the league and any paying spectators .... Hope this rest this case .... try look around for someone who wants the Linesman role as a vocation rather than sonny boy fantastic!! Or if he wants to pursue his Linesman career get him dressed for the job instead of looking like some oick that you dragged off the street! PS Great run of form!!

You don't say who you follow but I'll hazard a guess...we have beaten you once...probably twice this year. I think your attitude towards linesaman shows the exact reason why there is a lack of interest in taking up this thankless role throughout the league. Perhaps some more constructive comment about where courses are for training and cost involved and would the league help subsidise these would be better......Hope these views get the conversation back on track!!

might help if you were a member although I accept making comments about individuals is not exactly going to inspire positive comment. Kempston have had a super season and its always good to see clubs who have struggled in recent times enjoy some success.

Delighted to help Mr o Bedfordshire Football Association Century House, Skimpot Rd, Dunstable, Bedfordshire LU5 4JU Tel: 01582 565111 Ask for Referee Courses - or - recently qualified referees who may want to progress in the game. Or even put your current Lino on a course - it is great to see someone so willing - there was no offence ment previously - just a little green for the so called Semi Pro Football League. Then if you contact Sports World Unit E, Interchange Retail Park, Race Meadows Way, Kempston, Bedford, Bedfordshire MK42 7AZ Tel: 0870 3339683 And ask if they have anything resembling a referees kit or , just maybe, something black. Hope this is constructive and helps. By the way your team is doing great and so is ours - so lets celebrate and keep asking those great questions like how can we better our league and the competition we so much enjoy? With this at the helm of our discussions how can we go wrong?

Appreciate that Paul. The "money people" behaind the scene at the club have, I believe, already indicated their willingness to pay for him to attend a course during the summer. I do agree, however, he is a scruffy, or as the youngsters these days say, trendy so and so, but he is our third linesman this year as the others have refused to do it because of the constant grief they get, so I have to admire his "bottle" and desire to improve so he will be better at the job next season. Thanks again

still beat you twice easily...Surprised others have had so much trouble doing the same. I know you wrote it tongue in cheek, but the game at your place was fair, we werent at our best and your front two ripped the defence apart with your long ball hoofed up front. at our place the young lad on the line, I was asked as secretary at the start of the game if we would allow him to line, I said yes, but didnt realise his dad was manager. when the manager shouted offside his arm came up. I thought the lad knew the rules but, I was wrong, hopefully I won't have cost the lads the championship.

Don't put yourself down too much Ian. If your lads deserve the title, they'll win the title. As far as those decisions go, you win some - you lose some. Don't worry about it.

Over the season your team has been excellent. You were one of the few teams who got the ball down and tried to play, for that you have to be admired. I think your team will be crowned on Weds. Worthy winners, lokk forward to locking horns again next year!!!!
Congrats Sleaford
