Why are the duo set to leave? Budget cuts? Committee fall out ? Kempston rovers have moved forward over the past few years, you only have to look at the new facilities and improving ground which in my opinion is much better than some grounds at a much higher level than you are currently playing at. You have a good season 3rd from bottom the last two season to the top six this season, the committee at the club seem to want to take the club to a higher level and you have some of the best training facilities in this area. So why would the duo be thinking of leaving this forward moving club?? I wish my club so was forward moving, instead we seem to be moving the opposite direction. I think kempston are destined for higher leagues so I can not understand why the duo do not want to build on this season and take the club forward. Maybe someone could explain??? If kempston do not want you, I know you will be more than welcome at my club.

Trust me Kempston do not have any ambition to compete at a higher level!

Arthur Brain, how very apt!
I don't know who you are or where you are coming from but I can assure you that AFC Kempston Rovers very much want to compete at a higher level and everyone at the Club is gutted to miss out on promotion this season after a superb job Clive and John have done this season, if we had had a slightly better start we would back in the UCL Premier Division next season! One thing Kempston will do however is complete the upgrading of there facilities in hand with trying to support and improve things on the pitch. A number of us have spent four hard years to get us to this position and to not complete the task when we are at the final hurdle would be criminal. Kempston very much want to play at a higher level, but they also want and need the facilities to support this. WATCH THIS SPACE!!

I'd have liked to see Kempston come up. I remember the days when everytime we went away to Kempston it was on a new ground!!!
The days of Kempston, Eyensbury and Ampthill (remember them)...

Must admit I would have liked to see Kempston go up, purely for the reason, that Harrowbys a lot nearer

Having supported Kempston as a boy over 55 years ago, I can still remember the excellent games played at Hillgrounds in those days. i would love to see them become a force again in local football.

I HAVE HEARD IN THE CORRIDORS AT AFC KEMPSTON ROVERS THAN FAN FAVOURITE KEN DAVIDSON WILL BE BACK IN CHARGE NEXT SEASON NOW THAT HE HAS RESIGNING FROM LANGFORD AT THE END OF THE SEASON. IS THAT IT TRUE GOOD LUCK EITHER WAY IF WE HAVE HIM OR THE CURRENT DUO WE ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.
