Anyone think northern star could cause an upset and send the title chase down to saturdays game at wellingboro.
I personally dont think so.
Speaking to a chap the other day who has been in and around the UCL for a while, and seems to think that maybe sleaford have an advantage because teams dont always travel up there with full strength sides due to the travelling. I tend to agree but if your in the title shake up you do take a full side, but maybe a middle of the table team will lose players who may not fancy a long journey, its a commitment issue i think, but maybe this could bring a disadvantage to the more local sides as they will nearly always face a full strenth side. People could say the same about sleaford coming the over way, but like i said if your in the title shake up you will travel with a strong side.
I dont follow any side in particlular, but having spoken to this chap, he may have a valid point.
Any opinions??

I can't see Sleaford getting NOTHING out of the game - there superior goal difference means they only need a draw

I know that when we went to Kempston we had to leave at 5, which left us 2 or 3 regulars short, typically defenders.

It's strange that the Div One matches don't all end on the same day, but I hope Pboro can make a game of it.
How many supporters do you reckon will be at the game?

about 150 which would be our highest ever at Cranwell, highest this season was Whitworths with 87 (There was 84 when Wellingboro Town came) last season was Eye United ( Peterborough northern stars previous life) with 79
When we were in Sleaford 2 years ago in Lincs League we regularly got 70, but we have lost nearly 20% being at cranwell

I think it is fair to say that Sleaford do gain an advantage in this sense but I'm not certain about the point that they don't lose out when they are playing every other week away from home. They have had numerous squad members leave because they are fed up of the travelling and not getting a game or only a few minutes. Whilst this has meant that their first XI hasn't been affected too badly it has left them potentially with less strength in depth for games where injuries and suspension have been a factor.

Its Sleaford at a disadvantage. Sleaford have to make 17 long journeys each season, whereas other clubs only have to travel to Sleaford once. I think credit is due to the commitment of the Sleaford squad which rarely travels to away games without 4/5 subs.

I am somebody who is interested in the development of Sleaford Town, I know a number of the players on a personal level and feel that the club is moving forward in the right direction with a committed backroom staff allied to a very talented pool of players.
I can't disclose anymore than that as I am currently on the run from a number of previous employers and law enforcement agencies.

Not actually a memeber of the A Team, I was considered but controversially dropped at the last minute for some black guy with a load of jewellry.
Still on the run but did make a discreet appearance at the Champions coronation last night. Cracking performance - well done lads!
