yes its nearly true. for a start it wasn't £50.00, and, Ianh the committe member who spoke to you yesterday at Somersham is the same man who was explaining the new set up for next season at Saturday's home reserve game. This was before Gary Ling resigned AFTER the game at Burton. I can see it was personal reasons can't you? Apparently the new man is Robbo who works for Posh and is a good friend of Rob Newman. I heard all efforts to speak to him over the weekend were past onto his answerphone

yet another story on here that isn't true. I think you'll find we asked if anyone could confirm the story was true as opposed to saying it was.

Yep spoke to a member of Huntingdons committee at West End Yesterday, strange behaviour as he then resigned Perhaps realised hed have to pay them back the fifty quid ;D Apologies, the bloke I spoke to, I dont know his name but met him before at our place, I didnt think he had any reason to lie. I cant remember if the amount of money was discussed "This was BEFORE Gary Ling resigned AFTER the game at Burton. I can see it was personal reasons can't you?"Err..... no not really, Monday was after Saturday for a start Next time, I will add "From what I've heard" to my replies and next time I wont get shot down in Flames (I'll just get my coat)

sorry Ian, didn't mean to disect you so to speak, just that anything the bloke you were talking to at Somersham, ( I saw you speaking to him) will be about as stable as an Iranian nuclear dissarmanent promise. Jusy saying that the new man was firmly in place before Saturday, so Gary's political resignation was a "go before I'm pushed" statement

yeah lingy did burn £10 and threatened 2 burn more if we didnt raise our game! having spoken 2 ppl about the decision of lingy they feel it was through lack of support!!! this may be believable due 2 the fact that the town board have shown gary no faith or support! rob-it was a good point u made in the other thread about the progress he has made with his YOUNG squad!!! but the town committee couldnt progression if it slapped them in the face, they seem 2 forget things take time, unless they know paul daniels's number? the players want gary at the helm thus the petition they signed after the game 2 try 2 keep him!!!

good lad (frustrated guest) if your are a player then don't let Lingy go without a fight, the chairman's number is on the top posting, give him a call, tell him what you think, make him change his mind. I am all for keeping Lingy, as 1, he was doing a great job, 2. he has had little or no support from chairman and committee. 3 It worries me that you and your fellow players wont stay. After all if the new manager rings the players in summer most of them will be gone by then. PROTEST PROTEST PRPOTEST. I haven't got my own computer so have to borrow my mates, but the thoughts are mine

ling is no mug and if he wasnt happy im 100% sure he wouldnt moan or bitch or fight or even try to win people over, if he thought he wasnt respected enough im sure he would have decided to walk along time ago. he finished the job with town and didnt do a curbishly and walk before the end of the season, i think that is a measure of the man. thats the emotional side of things but football wise, this maybe a blessing in disguise, if town can get a manager in who can attract players from neighbouring counties and keep them and raise the profile of the club, then what is better? ling nurturing talent or a new gaffer bringing n hardened well respected players? if you detract ones emotions from the problem and think of the club, your conscience will tell you that this is best for the club.

Watching the situation at Huntingdon from up the A1 in Yaxley as I do, I see a club with the potential to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest in the UCL.
The whole set up is there to get big gates, an improved ground and move up the pyramid.
I am jealous as my clubs proximity to Peterborough means our crowds will never be massive.
If you looked at a map of Huntingdonshire/Cambridgeshire and had to put a pin in where a club would be the most productive, it would land very near Jubilee Park.
