Pure football OR chenecks squad player whoever you may be - obviously you can't tell us as you are not too sure yourself - Get you facts right, Bugbrooke were not relegated from the Prem when Carlin was their, they were 9 points of relegation with games in hand when he was sacked with the chairman stating that "now we are clear of relegation i want a change" the fact that they didn't win another game for 2.5 months was not his fault and led to relegation. Gary Petts and Andy Sandy are both in the same jobs as last year and Shane Geary left Fords because the budget was cut therefore what were the chances of him going to a club where the players have to pay to play - nil i should say. If you are only a Squad player at Chenecks now you are certainly not good enough and best start to look for a new club next year. Whilst all those who played at Chens last year will surely be given a chance should they so desire and the best players of the two clubs together should be pushing for the title next year, with competition for places players need to perform at their best. Blisworth did have a poor season last year but 4 points from ONs in 2 matches can mean that they were not that bad eh!!!

Take a lot of it with a pinch of salt, dont fall for the windups.

Hi Ian Personal attacks like this have no place on any board that is way it gets a strong reaction from me. We had to shut down the Blisworth shout box because of this kind of personal attack on the manager. Not satisfied they want to stir up trouble at Scotts new club before he even gets there! hey a wind up ok....where would footie be without opinions and a bit of banter and passion but heck this is just someone being downright nasty and has been going on for weeks.. kick it off the board and ban the ISP.

Why does everyone seem to assume that registering equates to some kind of declaration of identity?
I haven't CLUE who most people are on here - registered or not.
Opinions are opinions regardless who they come from. Just because someone doesn't like or agree with them doesn't mean they shouldn't be aired. Yes if they are racist, libellous or illegal in some other way then the moderators should exercise their powers, but if you start to make it "Members Only" posting, and preventing certain viewpoints, then this becomes null, void and impotent as a message board, and just a cosy little mutual back-scratching club.
Take this case in point - a couple of people (IP addresses indicating that it probably is more than one) don't rate Scott Carlin, and voice their opinion in terms of football-related factors. So these people get rounded on, accused of being one person multiple-posting, and then being personally insulted - certainly in non-footballing terms!
Get a grip chaps ....... it isn't against the rules to have a contrary opinion, or to hold a different view of someone's skill levels from one of the registered members. You'd be better off arguing your point based on facts and achievements rather than simply slagging them off for not being a member, and in someway hiding their identity (in a way a member can't???), and accusing them of cowardice and posting under different names over and over again.

you dont have the full story Spencer bloke. We had to close the Blisworth web site shoutbox because of insults etc. just did not want it continued on here where generally people have been reasonable in what they say.

To be brutally honest, I don't really care about the Blisworth Shout Box. My remedies for posts I don't like is either
a) argue with them, or b) don't read them.
The whole story as far as this site is concerned is that some people have criticised the appointment of Scott Carlin at ON Chenecks. One post has suggested that by virtue of the finishing positions in the league, and their opinion on both teams' relative playing styles, that this appointment will not be a step forward - especially against a backdrop of former Blisworth players joining ON's en bloc.
A second has criticised Scott Carlin's track record at Blisworth and Bugbrooke.
A final one has questioned ON Cheneck's viability as a UCL club in light (no pun intended) of the required ground improvements being unlikely to be undertaken at Billing Road.
They were greeted with much personal abuse and one token attempt at some factual rebuttal.
Like I said - if you start editing and censoring based on the cherished opinions, whims and sacred cows of the inner sanctum clique, then the forum ceases to have true value.
If this board becomes "Members Only" it will lose a member immediately.

you might not care about the blisworth shout box.. but if read what was on it you might. So you dont have the whole story. I repeat that the replies were aimed at ensuring that this kind of stuff was not repeated here because if it was I am sure this would be a members only forum overnight. Frankly I find hard to believe that personal abuse and insults aimed at just being nasty have any place on here. A bit of banter is one thing insulting someone is another.
