as i seem to be the topic of converstion on this lead i thought iu better have a say!i couldnt gave a hoots what some people think of my abilties as a player or manager,as they say football is all about opinions or it would be a bit dull if every one thought the same!now the facts:manager at bugbrooke at 28 1st seson finshed 9th,2nd season sacked in feb 9pts clear of the drop zone with games in hand, cant be blamed for team only taken 2pts from 12/13 games but if pple thimk thats my fault thats up to them!1st season at blisworth finshed 9th[season b4 they finshed 2nd bottom]2nd season finshed 5th[7pts of the winners silbey]also lost in junior cup final on pens&final season yes was a poor season by mine&players standerds we finshed 14th,loosing the likes of matt collins&pete gregory to spencer, joe rich to fords&tim buxton moved away[this was spine of side the 2nd season didnt help]but no excuses it was a poor season,i no that i nobody need tell me.regarding stlye of footballl, just wondering what stlye liverpool&chelsea play?is there a problem with having quick players in your team?in all the years ive played football, with teams like spencer etc ive never played or seen a team role it out from the keeper&pass it along there back 4 etc,are the pitches that good?cant be that poor of a manager when teams like cgnoe&spencer wanted me in some capacity in the last few weeks&i fully appricete there offers&am looking forward to playing both teams in pre-season.ucl cook little message dont lose the faith

Nice one "Biffa" for putting the record straight. Some of these people commenting on managers abilities at this level should try it, especially when you do it for the love of football. You forgott to mention no players budget at these clubs.
Good luck at Chenecks

i heard about the mcgoldrick rumour also , somehow dont think it will happen , as for carlin i believe he has a young side at blisworth and has done very well in developing these youngsters and im sure they will all go with him at a higher level. as for cogenhoe i hear that they have lost a few high profile players but the wage issue will not bother adam because he has a number of very talented youngsters coming through his youth system who do not require big bucks and play for the love of the game .

Have to say I agree with Spencerbloke. I don't agree with "pure football's" view but I do think he is fully entitled to air it. He or she hasn't been abusive or said anything personal about Carlin just that he isn't certain that he is the right appointment. True it appears that he was factually incorrect on some of his points but if we are going to throw off everyone who isn't 100% correct on everything there aren't going to be many left. Also why should he say who he is?

To clarify what Scott Carlin achieved at Blisworth and I speak as someone who has played for them since 1984 and is still trundling around the pitch today. He took a side that had been bottom of the league and moved them to mid table. This also allowed the reserves (who have a real talented young manager!) to assemble a decent side and win some trophies. The second season he took them to the junior cup final and, more impressively, finished in the top 5 of the league our best finish since we came 3rd to dav town and mkt deeping in 2001.The third season was dissapointing but losing the spine of the team, and the sides 3 best players, was a big loss.I would like to thank him and the players who were very good for Blisworth why they were there and wish them all the best at chenecks. On the style of play, it was get it forward quickly but it proved very effective. His strengths , this is only my opinion , were organisation and motivation and will be good for chenecks. Blisworth pulled out for financial reasons , no other reason. Why spend money when we would be kicked out anyway this time next year because of facilities. Some people say these rules will not be implemented, some say they will. How can you have a situation where no one has a clue if the UCL will lose around 5-10 clubs because of facilities or wheather they will all be ok this time next year.Surely thats a bigger farce than Sleaford being promoted although i totally understand this is not the UCL`S fault more the idiot who came up with the idea from the FA. Pete Edwards would like to thank Scott for what he said in the chron&e 26/5/06 - he cant say himself as he has no idea how to turn a computer on! Fords man - appreciate what you said about Cogenhoe youngsters , but there are not many players who wont leave a club for more money loyal or not. Have no idea who pure football is but he is entitled to his opinions , dont agree with them but work with two lads who play for Raunds and they mentioned to me two weeks ago Eddie Mcgoldrick was the new manager...unfortunaltely have no other rumours!

The FA do not have a scooby do or dont care what is actually happening at Step 6, Others will follow Blisworth & Harrowby for a less demanding step 7 league conditions. The FA need to stand up now and offer clubs a future and they need to start by understanding that a lot of step 6 clubs play on park / playing field assoc land etc. where its impossible implement everything the FA demand.. even if the money is in place! Quite what this achieves in terms of improving standards of play I dont know!
