The rumour i heard was, it was someone who plays up front and scored and might be ex woodford ...i heard the player had already played for woodford in a cup that ruled him out of the junior cup ..... dont take this as 100% but the players name might be waldock ...personally would not him if i was looking at him

If it was anyone it it would be IAN waldock, (midfield) not Tommy (striker). Ian signed for woodford and transferred back to Dav Utd. He played in the Senior Cup against Brackley but don't know if he played against wootton St. George though. Dav Utd sec would surely have known from the transfer form from the league? I thought it had the cup comps on it you had played in?
Tommy never went anywhere so it can't be him.

If that holds up as true - big shame for Dav United. After doing their local rivals that must be a blow. And after playing them yesterday, they're a good side who would seriously fancy their chances of winning it. I'm thinking we may end up a "cup side" this season at least.......

we'll not take that tie lightly, I think we'll have a very tough day at the office. It's anyone's for me. Not a UCL side in it that wont fancy their chances and the Comb sides will always be dangerous - look at their record in the competition over the past few years.

All credit to Woodford Reserves for a fantastic backs to the wall job on us Saturday - they put 9 men behind the ball and the front 2 caused us some problems with their pace.
It was just 1 of those days for us in front of goal (even worse than the Whitworths game) and when your striker who never misses penalties sends one out of the ground with 5 minutes to go you sort of know it is not going to be your day. Woodford are the sort of side we would have beaten 4 times out of 5 and I don't think Bugbrooke should be overly worried about going there.
