lots of speculation about huntingdon town football club on and off the field..... so what do you know and what do you want to know?

So far so good - x2 southern league and x5 premier players showing an interest in coming to Huntingdon town that linked with the local talent gives us a great baseline and the warm up to pre season showing x50 on the first night.
Also with outstanding contibution and support by all the Huntingdon Town staff and committee

I cant understand why southern league players would want to drop down to UCL Div 1 unless their at the end of their playing days or have huntingdon got a big budget to entice players???

The southern league players are not at the end of their playing days just yet!!! but are very experienced at what they do and that added with the prem and local talent says we might get some joy or even make a bit of a dent. As for budget - still remains to be seen

Update - just signed so far x2 ex-southern / prem players both loyal and willing to help to get us promoted - x5 young prem players from last year and all local talent getting on well.

Regarding the signings for Huntingdon my prediction is that the 2 players with southern league experience will be from Corby or Rothwell and some Darren Young knows quite well???
Likewise the 5 younger prem players will again be players he knows well from S&L or Desboro??
Am I close Moralbiffa?? If not why not name, names??

well cam - have to say that your probably not a million miles from home, also with a mixture of peterborough and huntingdon lads to add to the mix - as for players names pref to be the dark horse :-) guess you will just have to trust me......

Surely if they are as good as you obviously feel they are, wont that enhance Darrens pulling power for players and raise the profile of Huntingdon? Or have these just said yes but not actually signed yet? As we know pre-season is always a merry go round of players who go training at a club and decide they dont like it and move elsewhere. |

I expect they will be from that area as like you say he has that area as pulling power it is a shame he did not hang on to some of the young players who I though performed very well and with them players another year under they belt would have had a good season this year but I felt that PNS were a good side but let them selves down with there antics on and off the pitch and Darren has to hold his hands up because he caused most of it

I thought that it had been established that MB was DY?!?!
Cam is confusing me by referring to both in the same sentence...
Have heard one or two names mentioned in connection with Huntingdon. I understand why DY/MB would want to be a bit secretive about it...there's always a chance of being gazzumped! ;D
If they are right - and I have every faith that they are - nice work.

cam - you know we like to keep things close to our chests and as fot lifting the profile of huntingdon town - its already starting to happen by its self and the ones that matter already know whats going on at the club
As for S.W.U.W not sure what is meant by '' he caused most of it'' would you like to explain that one!! If you refering to the - bit loud and patheic on the side lines - then you are bang on and it was very much out of order - that wont be happening again - (learning curve!!!) however the players that Im refering to have already signed (learning curve!!) - if you want to know who....... come up and see or wait till we meet in the season - but so far so good!!!!
However, again, it was a major ''learning curve'' for all last year :-)
