do you mean i dont know darren bent ....lol ....which one are you then ignorant or presumptious ....and as for seeing people get on have a look around your youth players think you'll answer that one for yourself
i merely stated a fact that darren was spotted whilst playing for goddy and wondered as to why he does nothing for them ....like giving them signed england shirts etc etc and helping to raise their profile within the community ....you know its a moral thing as in your name as i take it you have morals too
i have and always will wish darren all the best but as i say next time i speak to him maybe i would remind him of the club that got him to where he is today.
but i do get the impression that you are another one who wants to jump on the 'i know darren bent bandwagon'
funny how the only ones who never seem to talk about him are the players who were in his team at goddy
do want me to name the team he played too?

Again you are still at it - give it a rest man - your a negative alarmist
and for the record Darren Bent was kicking a ball about Huntingdons ground and we asked him for advice and he was happy to help - being a huntingdon lad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing more - nothing less

See what I mean about the politics surrounding Huntingdon.....
Although I kind of agree with you both, MB and LB
If Darren Bent is born and bred in Huntingdon then why shouldn't he help his towns club???
Likewise if he actually played for Godmanchester then I would agree with LB and also ask why he hasn't also helped them to raise thier profile??
MB - Do you know if Darren Bent actually played for Huntingdon?

all I know is he is from Huntingdon and wanted to help - no why or if or who or what - just help with the club - maybe you should ask him why he wanted to help!
We are just glad he did - now can we get back to the UCL

moralbiffa,
If these players have signed why not tell us who they are? Surely if they are as good as you obviously feel they are, wont that enhance Darrens pulling power for players and raise the profile of Huntingdon?
Or have these just said yes but not actually signed yet? As we know pre-season is always a merry go round of players who go training at a club and decide they dont like it and move elsewhere.
remember this cam - they signed!!

At the end of the day it does not make much difference which club he is helping out as he is clearly bringing publicity to football within the area in general. Whether he is associating himself to Huntingdon or anyone else is of complete irrelevance. LB- could you not simply be pleased that he is trying to put a bit back into grass roots football within our area, rather than complaining about which club he does it at.

Chris
think you are missing the point
try telling what you're asking to the godmanchester chairman
if i was in his position i'd be feeling pretty disappointed with him that he could not even offer his services to the club that brought him through
i remember darrens father saying to his team mates he would never have got where he is without the fantastic team he was playing in
i'm not having a go just merely stating a fact

As you can see we drew 1.1 with St Neots on sat - 1st half was 50-50 and 2nd was a bit flat with lots of changes, however we can take a lot of positives from our peformances, ability to play football and commitement - And a big thank you to all involved on sat, all the backroom staff and especially from all the players, it was a pleasure to watch you all graft and not roll over just because you played against a good strong physical team from the prem.
Also like to say thank you to St Neots for conducting themselves in a professional and friendly maner - again pleasure to have you at jubilee park
