I would just like to thank JB for all the work and time he put in to his position at Whits. Without people like him clubs at our level would simply not function. The ground improvements and grants were down to his rugged determination . Well done JB and a big thank you from me.

Here Here Judge-john has done a fantastic job , but i wonder if Whitworths poor season last year after such a great year before has taken the wind out of his sails a little ? Thats not meant to be negative , its just something that can happen . Pringle - How do you think Whittys will fair next season ? Around about this time last year there was a lot of positive stuff and bigging up ( not by you ) about how the 1st team and especially the ressies were going to do , namely mainly by Billyboy who then sank without trace 5 weeks before the end of the season !!! ?

Actually Gazza, Billyboy is still about and was still supporting the club til the end of the season. He was excited about the new season and was hoping the ressies continued after the previous years success. Unfortunately the season DID peter out but not without some new quality lads coming through. Billyboy didnt desert the sinking ship unlike several others during the season and wishes them the best for the upcoming season. In his wisdom, he sees little joy in shouting from the rooftops about what could be called a 'disasterous' season, hence his minimal postings. I hope this helps you out Gazza. Billyboy still tunes in to the forum and is eagerly waiting for the new season and new opportunity. He is also trying to stop refering to himself as the 3rd person.
Well done JJ, a remarkable effort by you and the club. Very few people have had an impact on a club like you have. Good luck for any future crusades (Out with Bill Buck, in with JJ!)
Billyboy thinks Whitworths will be stronger and better prepared for next season. The poor season just gone would have hurt a few people and hopefully give them more determination and drive.

Good on ya ! I could be wrong but I'm presuming that your involved with the ressys or the manager ? As for shouting from the rooftops about your season , you did plenty when the 1st team were not performing then sank without trace when the reserves went belly up too !!! Did many players leave your club then or are they etc ? to quote you " sinking ship " I imagine with all the works getting done , they will be back and good times again lie ahead once more

My allegiences are with the club and not the 1st or ressies. I felt the first team didnt build on the title winning season and it cost them dearly. The ressies however, had plenty of young local talent who on their day, were a match for most teams in res div 1. If you recall, I slated certain individuals for continuosly harping on about the title achievement when enough is enough. We should have been planning for next year...in my opinion. As far as 'sinking' goes, CJ, Patto, Spaughton.....Smyth? all left when the club needed them most. Many may disagree, its only my opinion. I havent been to the ground since the penultimate res game so cant say about any work being started or finished. If its gonna be as good as some say, the future could be brighter again. Lets hope so. Its a local club and if the players can avoid the lure of mighty Irchester then hopefully a few will come back.

But I'm surprised you want them to come back ? You have accused many in the past of dis - loyalty and have said b4 who wants players like that - who jumped a sinking ship last year ( your words ).
The truth is like all other managers you will break your principals to have a winning side ?

The three players mentioned can do as they please and probably will do. The players who I thought and were talking about who would benefit the club by coming back would be Foster, Holley and Whitney. I know its highly unlikely but the word was hopefully. As i'm not a manager or player who is in a position to do anything including break my principles, it doesnt really matter what the truth is? I thought you were a nice girl but your not! Youre trying to trick me arnt you? You lured me in and now youre being horrible, you must be a centre half!

I think next season will be decent for the club. lots of new ideas and new faces up top and behind the scenes. The groundworks will be complete including new car park and DIY centre (wickes) so be a transitional 12 months and I will still be helping out where I can in the background but new initiatives to be put in place

Sounds good Judge , your input will always be invaluable to Whitty although i imagine there is a slight accusation that you only sing when your winning and your resignation is along those lines !!! ? I credit you 4 your honesty when you say ' time 4 new ideas ' which basically means that without the top players and managers you had the season b4 last , you have no idea of how to return whittys to the top and you cant take getting beat ? I'm not having a go but Billyboy has talked alot about ' jumping ship ' and I'm not saying you def have but it does seem that the 'singing when winning accu ' is something that can be directed to some past and present at Whitty ? Billyboy or Judge out of curiosity can you tell me why CJ , PATTO AND SPAUGHTON PLUS SMYTH ( BB post above ) have been singled out differently to others that left ? I can't honestly believe BB would stand in the way of any young lads having the chance to play higher for a bit of pocket money . Billy , if your 2 lads had the chance to play for Raunds or WT 1st team for £ 50 / 60 pocket money ( not that they ever will ) , even if it was halfway through a season then what would your fatherly advice be ? I look 4ward to your reply , did these lads singled out let you down in some other way

Those 4 people havent been singled out, you asked for people who left when the club was sinking(my words, I know) and I named 4. The others players left close season and gave sufficient time for replacements. I'm not having a dig at any players mentioned just giving my opinion. You seem to have me confused with someone else, I have no children so dont know about 'my 2 lads playing for anyone'. No one has let me down, are you once again digging for an argument? It seems so with your little comments. Good luck to those players who chose to leave any club, everyone has to do it sometime in order to gain experience.
Now you sift through my posts, past and present and find something else to entertain me with. Im sure you know how to do it as you've clearly used the site before and have obviously nothing better to do. C'mon Gazza show me what you got, we might even find out about why your getting so hot under the collar. Are you in fact one of the above mentioned players, I wonder? Happy hunting.

I'm sorry if i have caused offence as never meant 2 , was just talking football about some things that you said that were interesting . I am new 2 posting but i have known and read the site b4 . I asked a m8 at Whitworths last night who was Billyboy and he just said that you have 2 boys that play at the club - 1 a young GK who is not bad and an elder 1 who is a left back who is woeful !!! My m8s words not mine ! Apologies again if my friend has got his info wrong although i doubt strongly he has as always a reliable source . Once again sorry if i caused offence or hit a nerve , i just thought your last couple of posts were of interesting topic .

Billy Boy. Calm down, dignity and all that!!! We,you and I, have agreed and disagreed over many things but we are both football people. I tend to agree with Gazza in the fact that lads must always try and play at the highest level and I know for a fact it was not about money but ambition. Ok, there were issues with a certain person being played out of position but he still is after his move? Fozzy was always going to move on and will score goals at most levels. JJ, I started this thread as a big thank you to you and the work you did but can I just say that I feel the click down at London Road is still as strong as it ever was, No room for "Outsiders" Offers of help from vastly experenced people have been ignored but ,no offence, thats the way it has allways been!!!! I hope whits have a great season for all the good people involved down there.

Gazza, In all the years I have been watching local football,Whits have been the friendliest, most welcoming club of them all. If there are any bad people down there I have never met them. What I have met is a lot of people working hard for a local football club, giving time and effort to improve that club. Good chat,Good banter,Mrs H and her tea!!!!!! My comments about the "Click" stand but then its always been like that. The people inside the "Click" probably dont even realize it.
