Full Time Rushden & Higham Utd 2:3 Corby Town Half Time Rushden & Higham Utd 1:2 Corby Town
A hectic first fifteen minutes saw three goals as Corby took the lead both teams then settled down and some good football was played. In the second half Rushden levelled the score but sloppy defending cost them another game and any chance they had of progressing in the FA Cup.

I do believe they had Kettering Town shirts on which makes them Kettering Town. F A Youth cup and you dont send your proper youth side (so you say). Either your incredibly arrogant and thought its only little Thrapston or not bothered with a competition that could potentially see you play Man U away at some stage. Dont take anything away from our lads they stuffed Kettering and were brilliant on the night.

So If we buy 11 Man Utd tops does that make us Man Utd???
Moulton represent KTFC in the college league, like it or not the team you played were the college side not the KTFC youth side.
Although I believe 3 KTFC players did fill the gaps in positions that Moulton couldnt fill.
But credit to Thrapston they played alot better than Moulton on the night and we wish them luck in the next round.

Hoy, are you saying this team did not represent Kettering Town and have somehow sneaked into the Youth FA Cup pretending to be Kettering Town?

Hoy, are you saying this team did not represent Kettering Town and have somehow sneaked into the Youth FA Cup pretending to be Kettering Town? No, what I am saying is KTFC their own youth side plus also a college side representing them. All are registered but predominantly apart from 3 it was the college side that played that night, Thrapston played well and deserved their victory.

Why wouldn't KTFC want to progress in this cup? Is there not any money in it? It was just agreed Moulton would compete this year instead.

Nothing other than that.

i cant get my head round this one, why do u need two u18 squads??. im not trying to cause trouble or cause a problem but can u explain this . last yr u did not have yr academy so the players from moulton quite rightly represented the youth team, this yr you do have yr u18 set up so what is the reason behind the moulton college side ??

Before the u18s were set-up is was agreed that Moulton would represent KTFC in the cup this year. KTFC have a very good and strong u18s squad, our plans are to have a u18s, u21s and reserve side next season also. Moulton College offer scholarships where a number of the youth will attend from next season. Hence the link between the two!!
