Full Time - Rushden & Higham 0:1 Thrapston Half Time - 0:0 A very disappointing game of football saw Rushden exit the NFA Cup due to a single goal scored 20 minutes from time.

N.F.A Cup
Rothwell Corinthians 0 v 3 P.N.S
Rothwell played well, this was their 1st game of the season. Once they are up and running it will be a very hard place to go and get 3 points. Would of rather this been a league fixture than cup.

Kings Langley 1 v 6 Kettering Town Youth FC
Kettering opened up their campaign with a good performance away to a strong Kings Langley side.

Olney 3: 1 Rushden & Higham
A poor performance from Rushden tonight saw them beaten by an average but well organised Olney team. Rushden are a side with individuals who aren’t as good as they like to think they are and who one day will realise hard work will always win in the end.

Good to see our Yaxley U18's through to the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup having dosposed of Arlesy Town and Bedford Town in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Brilliant football from both sides at Bedford.
They have an excellent tie AWAY against Histon FC (Blue Square opposition) and I hope loads of locals and senior players turn out for them - you need to watch the website for the actual date but I think it's going to be either Wednesday 20th or Thursday 21st October .
Any other UCL U18's through ?

Rushden & Higham 1:2 Daventry
Despite getting nothing from this game the Rushden display was 100% better than last week. The teams went in level on half time with the score 1:1. Rushden had the majority of the ball in the 2nd half but couldn’t make the breakthrough, with 10 minutes left the game looked to be heading for a draw but a quick brake saw Daventry score the winning goal.

Rushden & Higham Utd 4:1 Bugbrooke St Michael’s
This was a very enjoyable game as far as both the performance and result goes. Okay, so Bugbrooke aren’t going to finish in the top two or three, but we had several players missing due to the Rushden & Diamonds` academy having had a game earlier in the day and a couple making their u18 debuts. Lewis Williams – one of the Diamonds lads – opened the scoring midway through a half the home side had dominated with a great cross shot into the far corner of the net. Great work by 15-year-old debutant winger Blake Helsdown and then another 15-year-old, James Harrison, saw Martin Brown make it 2-0 at the far post. It was 3-0 at the break when Harrison, fast becoming a real star for the u18s, netted with a 20-yard cracker into the roof of the net. It was really game over then, but in youth football anything can happen, and when Bugbrooke pulled one back 10 minutes into the second half with a fantastic strike by Kasambula from 25 yards that gave new keeper Declan Oliver absolutely no chance, the warning signs were lit. However, with the returning Stef Gatting pulling the strings in midfield, the hosts got a grip back on the game and never really gave it up. Gatting scored the fourth after a scramble following a corner and it could and perhaps should have been more after that. Korey Morgan missed two or three opportunities and hit the underside of the bar with a lob and Barry Deacon, coming back to fitness after his Appendix operation, missed a penalty and Gatting the rebound.
I was unable to attend the game last night, this report is taken from the official site.
