We were due to play the Sunday afternoon ON Chenecks team, not the floodlight league side. It was a county cup fixture and they could not field a team.
The surface at N'ton school for boys is 1st class and one of the best in the country, apparantly it is 7G. If it enables another UCL side to try promote Youth in to their 1st team i'm all for it. At present they way they are playing the decision was justified.

Rushden & Higham 3:5 Sileby Rangers
This game had everything goals, penalties, good football and bad decisions from the referees assistants. The game looked to be all over for Rushden when Sileby took a 3 goal lead within 20 minutes Rushden fought back and went in at half time 3:2 down. Within seconds of the start Sileby scored a stunning goal and Rushden replied with a penalty making the score 4:3 with 20 minutes remaining, the game turned when the referees assistant waved for an offside (that he was the only one in the ground to see) when a Rushden player was clear on goal this took the fight out of the Rushden lads and Sileby scored another to take the three points they deserved. On a sour note – one of the Sileby players received a yellow card for repeatedly diving this was in full view of his manager I cant understand why a team with that ability need to stoop so low.

No fewer than nine past and current Cogenhoe Under 18's appeared in Tuesdays' LKO Cup very young victorious squad..........with so many past lads playing at higher level too no wonder other clubs are following Cogenhoe's blueprint.
