With no football really being played in ucl div 1, how about we discuss who has the best ground facilities in the league. Answers on a postcard please, to Uncle Steve

Sileby is very nice, I've not entered the dressing rooms for a long while now but am I right in saying that they have carpet in there? Health and safety - check... And eynesbury's are adequately decent also. What about BPW?? I like it there, and also rushden and higham is a nice set up!

This is my own humble opinion and contribution with no offence intended to the clubs in my bottom three.
My top three visited this year:-
Sileby - Best playing surface in Div 1 and one of the best in all UCL. Pitch surround, seating and supporters standing areas all excellent. Nice small clubhouse. Only negative from away team point of view is the size of the away dressing room TINY but carpeted.
Harborough - Superb clubhouse, changing rooms and facilities. Pitch surface is average and there is/was no seating. Overall very impressive with capacity to increase and improve standard to higher than UCL. IMO
Kempston - Very good all round facilities for both players and spectators that have improved year after year. Playing surface is again average. Very welcoming place to visit and always one to look forward to.
Worst Three:-
Olney - Basically this is just a public park with a stand on the side. Pitch is below average and changing rooms and shower facilities very poor. Certainly not UCL standard when you compare to rest of Div 1 clubs who have constantly improved. That said very welcoming and friendly place to visit but way short when it comes to facilities.
Rothwell - Dated and all round poor place to visit. Poor player facilities and dreadful pitch. Clubhouse had a musky damp smell. Not a nice experience.
BPW - (I can hear the disapproving shouts of J Smith, salako and scully already) Yes I can only applaud the efforts of all at BPW in getting the team back there and you can see how much work has gone into getting the ground up and running, but the facilities are still poor for the players, changing rooms, showers etc. The pitch has always been below average compared to others in the UCL and the spectators areas are average at best. That said they seem to have a very pro-active committee which means it can only get better. Clubhouse is first class as was the after match food and bar staff are friendliest so far. Look forward to going back next season and seeing how they develop.

bar staff are friendliest so far. Without a doubt BPW have nicest bar staff and from the ones i met, most honest supporters Bourne is an all round dump and worst bar staff i have come across

Sileby fan yes your opinion does offend me. if you knew the hard work put in by that person you would understand why. would you knock any other club if their bar staff where the same? whu did'nt you approach a committee member at the club if you a had problem? do not air your problems with other people in public. i will not say anymore on the subject as its left me aggrieved. i just hope your bar staff and hospitally meets the standards when we visit.
merry Xmas
