Generally good and interesting news. But why do they have to exaggerate so much that it becomes an outright lie? Average of 400! It's about half that

Generally good and interesting news. But why do they have to exaggerate so much that it becomes an outright lie? Average of 400! It's about half that Average attendance taken from Mitoo, which is fed by Club matchday reports, up to 4/3, is 363 Gate was only 84 when they came up to play us, only 30 visitors so 10% is about average away attendance

Ianh Please to make your acquaintance again. I Dnt know why Wellingborough keep telling everybody about their attendance figures. The income from these will have to be declared in their accounts for tax purposes, so I hope they tie up!!!

I would have thought that because we have huge support for our club and attendaces are indeed very high when compared to other clubs in the league, this can only be good for the UCL and football in general. Please don't have a dig at us because we are enjoying success, see what you can do to improve your club's attendances. "Come on my lovely jubberly Doughboys"

We have been enjoying large attendances at the Dog & Duck, we've only got two home games left, we are expecting a very large crowd on the last day of the season and it may well push our average over 400.
With WTFC reforming, a lot of people have come to see what we are doing out of curiosity. If we are promoted, we hope to see that figure rise again.
It may be seen as "showing off" but our supporters are proud of the achievements and the fact that our club is moving on.
We would love to see some more local success stories at this level. The only downside is that it makes teams play harder when they come and visit you!
It ain't easy!

Doughboy and Jonmac......were you there when the Doughboys needed you a few years ago? As the saying goes....a dog is for life not just for Xmas. I for one am really looking forward to both visiting you and receiving your team next season and I hope that WTFC is here to stay and will not disappear again once the novelty wears off.

I made an approach to Wellingborough Town about a year before they folded to volunteer my help. There seemed to be such a "couldn't care less" attitude down there, so I left it. This time round, right from the start, new people, fresh ideas and the hunger to succeed gave me no hesitation to assist the club. I don't think it will be a novelty this time round and with the superb committee we have who are fast becoming experts in events and fund-raising, we are winning both on and off the pitch.

I believe that Wellingborough have been a breath of fresh air for the UCL and just shows what can be done. I hope that many more potential UCL supporters see what happens when you get behind your local club and offer support.

After many years of watching League football week in, week out, it's a breath of fresh air watching your local side play against other nearby towns.
I know we are getting the highest gates at the moment in the whole of the UCL, but it would be great to see other sides get 100 - 200 regular supporters as well.
Each Saturday is a great day out and with the majority of the clubs, you can watch the game, have a burger and then a pint afterwards and still have change from £10.
You can't even get into Northampton or Rushden and Diamonds for £10, let alone be fed or watered.....

Jonmac - you have hit the nail on the head - local teams watched by local people for not much dough(boys) - I think it may catch on if the encouragement and attitude of the Committees is right and the Facilities are acceptable for this Day and Age.
Up here is Sleaford the gates will get much bigger when we get back to playing our matches in Sleaford again and we can offer the hospitality to the spectators to boot.
Build it and they will come..... Just like at Wellingborough!

Also my season ticket for Newport was only £40! How much would a league club season ticket cost! I think at UCL level the football can be just as good quality as well. Im glad and proud to say that i havent been suckered into league football within Milton Keynes. ;D
