i watched this one and i'm sorry to say that hunts were poor on the day. the 1st 30 mins was even really and the pitch looked fine also so can't be blamed. but when whits took the lead hunts rolled over. gibsons was a breath of fresh air, don't understand why he came off. but have to say even with him on the pitch it still looked comfy for whits. thought the whits number 10 was a lucky guy not to have got a red card twice over, as i saw him strike out twice before pretending to cramp up and then subbed. if hunts win their game in hand then they leapfrog whits again to 2nd. at this rate i fancy us for 2nd along with the other 8 poss sides able to get it, ha ha. its still in your hands (no pun hans) lads but can't afford to keep dropping points.

thanks irishrover, as I say I heard from our boys that Whits played well and without Gorman and Goose as last minute casulties. Look forward to the return

i went up to jubilee park on saturday, amazed that the game was still on, as irishlover said the pitch was in great shape considring the weather we had. From start to finish whitworths were never going to come way from jubilee park with no points, they defended very well, and took their chances. Huntingdon did look dangerous when going down the right, young Gibbo played very well considering it was his 1st tatse of ucl fooball, also the right back sent in some very dangerous balls, and the two worked well together. Apart from that a very poor day for Huntingdon, with some very big games in february including visiting daventry two weeks running, huntingdon are going to have to be on top form fo february to keep their promotion dreams alive !

;D What a difference week makes, after last weeks pi** poor performance, we asked players to step up to the mark and be counted and boy did they step up, great all round attitude, work rate and team play, could have been 5 or 6 - but 3 points was the main thing for today..... well done huntingdon... come on the hunts - 11629

good game to watch for the neutral supporters, 8 goals, Fletton gave a good account of themselves and made hard work of it, but we kept at it and got our just rewards with a second bite at St Ives in the semis
well done lads

sat game was hard in many ways for us, result was insignificant due to the bad injury picked up by Ben Cottingham, who was airlifted to coventry hospital after dislocated his knee, ruptured his cruciate ligaments and fractured his patela in one go, our thoughts are with him and wish him a speedy recovery - Also thank you to Daventry Utd for there help and assistance with Ben whilst waiting for help to arrive, especially the clubs lady physio - big thank you again and good luck for the rest of the season come on the hunts - 12211

Well 3 - 1 complimented Daventry Town yesterday - you can see why the are unbeaten - well organised - great shape and depth across the park - - Coming in 2 - 1 down at half time we went into the second half with 45 mins to get something from the game and I was proud of the way we conducted ourselves and took the game to Daventry and made them work for the result - only a dodgy pen in the last 7 mins gave them a chance to relax for the last mins of the game because before the pen it could have gone to anyway and we certainly deserved a point - with 6 of our squad unavailable we had x2 under 18 boys and a make shift x11 and only 2 subs avail that showed great pride and loyalty in wearing the Huntingdon town kit thank you for making me feel proud - ;D come on the hunts - 12367

Well done to all the lads in last nights cup game against Ely, with the fog setting in the ref gambled on playing the game and in the end it was the right choice, it cleared by the 20th min and ended up being a great night for football After sat game against leaders Daventry we left the game with our heads held high and a bitter taste in our mouths after leaving empty handed. We started the game in the same manner as sat, again with a shortage of players due to cup ties and players unavailable. We took hold of the game early and never stopped til the final whistle, young Lee Bassett and Richard Moore on the score sheet and Chris Caswell having what seemed to be a excellent finish disallowed - Come on the hunts - 12507 ;D ;D ;D
