Congratulations to Hunts and expect you to turn around your league form and be up there with PNS and several others in quest for top 3 - I thought I had it tough getting a settled side, but trying to track yours week to week is impossible!

- What can I say..... what a great effort last night by Huntingdon Town, great game to watch for the crowd and a pleasure to have St Ives at our 'windy' - not last night - ground. Game was end to end with St Ives nicking a deflected goal in the last 5 mins of extra time..... Both teams had chances to win the game however the St Ives keeper was man of the match for me with endless saves through out the game. Yes St Ives had shots but our keeper watch most of the the ball doing a 'Johnny Wilkinson' - For those who watched the game know it was a 50 - 50 game and great local entertainment So what did you think to the Ref........? Only difference - St Ives were that bit more polished than us on the day, not that it made that much of a major difference - good luck in the final well done to all at Huntingdon Town and roll on sat away to Whitworths come on the hunts - 12935

About time as well.... we take our cup form into the league and maybe just at the right time...... ;D With the wind in our faces for all the first half we came in at half time with a 0 - 0 stalemate. Second half we applied ourselves and dominated the game with several chances and a positive attitude towards each other, Nicki hitting the cross bar - Richard Moores volley and several other goal scrambles kept the Whitworths keeper on his toes. At last Adam Taylor took the lead for Huntingdon and we never looked back. We should have expended our lead and never looked like conceeding until with 15 mins to go Whitworths come up with a 25 yrd screamer and Mr fox celebrating like he won the lottery, it took us 5 mins to get our composure as Whitworths found a second wind and pushed us hard, however once we settled and got over the shock of there excellent finish a draw looked on the cards - that would be robbery as we deserved the win and just as they suprised us Nicki Young ghosted past three players at pace and rifled into the top corner to win the game with 2 mins remaining, we got our rewards - 3 points - With the Reserves going strong and several 1st team players again finding there form, Ricky Dear lasting the 90 mins and the youngsters Declan Rodgers and Finlay Clarkson progressing nicely you never know, you never know!! We go to Rothwell Corinths on tues and we will battle for the 90 mins I sh*t you not..... come on the hunts - 13039

Congratulations MB and good luck with the corinthians game. Not sure you dominated as much as you think and had Dalds lobbed your keeper with an open net at his mercy the 3 points might have gone the other way though in truth that would not have been deserved. Good luck for rest of the season.

now now JJ - - thought first half was stalemate and 2nd half you really didnt raise your game till the equaliser on the 30 min mark, game should have been buried by then with the amount of chances we had, but thats football - superb goal by you lad, really suprised us with that wonderful finish however think the winner was also worthy of a suprise finish.... and our attempted lob mins before that.... ;D Always a pleasure, especially the side line banter..... good luck my friend come on the hunts - 13245

- Another great result for the huntingdon lads winning 2 - 1 away to Rothwell corinths last night, who had lost only 1 game in the last 11 or 12 league games and that was to Daventry town Eddy Mills with the first and Chris Caswell with the winner after some sloppy defensive work cost us their equaliser. Took us a bit of time to settle but thought we deserved - again - another hard fought win ;D Take nothing away from Rothwell what so ever especailly in the last 10 mins when they pushed for the equaliser, great game Come on the hunts - 13342

Have to say I was disappointed at drawing 0 - 0 with Olney on sat, after all the hard work to get us back in the promotion chase we let our standards slip, all due respect to Olney who came with a game play however we looked jaded and tired and didnt play to even half of the standards which we have set ourselves Still its a point and no over till its over - we will talk - we will keep progressing as a club as we have been doing all season Come on the hunts 13554

Division One Thrapston Town 0 Huntingdon Town 1 Friday, 14 March 2008 Huntingdon climbed to third place in the table with this deserved success at Chancery Lane. The visitors made a bright start with Lee Bassett forcing a fine save from Jon Kyte with a volley from a long pass by Darren Ray. A smart turn saw James Edwards create space for himself only for his shot to clear the target. Ricky Dear's stunning volley left Kyte helpless as Huntingdon took a twelfth minute lead, and Eddie Mills had a shot blocked after Thrapston failed to clear a free kick. The home side had a great chance to equalise when Ben Morgan robbed Mark Hackett and raced clear, but debutant goalkeeper Craig Patterson spread himself well to deny the home side's top scorer. Thrapston's Chris Jones was off target with a long range volley before the last chance of the first half saw Edwards curl a free kick wide of the target. The second half saw little in the way of goalmouth action for twenty minutes, but after Morgan blazed over at the far post the contest livened up. Kyte in the home goal tipped a Ray free kick over the bar and then parried from Mills with defender Mark Redding completing the clearance. With five minutes remaining Chris Caswell was narrowly off target with a near post header after good work on the flank by substitute Nicky Young, but deep into stoppage time Huntingdon's lead came under threat from a free kick which saw Kyte go forward to supplement his attack. Huntingdon struggled to clear their lines and the loose ball fell to home substitute Clive Collyer only for the youngster to fire over the bar. Thrapston: Jon Kyte, Mark Redding, Tim Williams, Andy Dobbs, Matt Harris, Jack Petty, Jason Lee (Clive Collyer), Paul Norton (Jack Wisniewski), Chris Jones, Ben Morgan, Duncan McNish. Huntingdon: Craig Patterson, Tom Moran, Michael Duroe, Ricky Dear, Mark Hackett, Darren Ray, Eddie Mills, Adam Taylor (Adam Banda), Chris Caswell, James Edwards, Lee Bassett (Nicky Young). Could not of put it better myself, still didnt think we played to our potential, first half we dominated the game and should have had a couple of goals with the amount of chances we created. after making a couple of substitutions in the second half through injuries we lost our balance and with limited subs due to existing players injured and missing players we couldnt build on the first halfs performance. however again 3 points and we are happy and you never know come on the hunts 13771

What a difference a couple of days makes - and a young centre forward called Bassett!!! ;D Sat against Chenicks was daylight robbery with the amount of chances that went begging we should of been 3-4 up at half time but came in 1-0 down, dominated the game and gave it away with a couple of silly errors - enough said !! After the dissapointment of sat we came into mon game with a brilliant attitude and also trying to redeem ourselves and prove a point - that we hungry for success also wanting to put sat result behind us..... BRILLIANT - ORGANISED and DETERMIND springs to mind about todays result, the most satisfying was that two local youngsters made the headlines - Declan Rogers and Lee Bassett getting the goals Well done to all the Huntingdon players today from the back to the front line - well done absolute pleasure to manage a bunch of quality lads........ Come on the hunts 14015

been away for most of this week so have not had anytime to say how pleased i was with the daventry town draw, was just reading that they had couple of players missing - well we had a couple of players missing and three under 18 players in the squad, two of which started, not that you would think they had just come into the squad, young joe furness was outstanding and did really well, only his fitness let him down, which was to be expected.
Fantastic finish to the season with one defeat in our last 8 games
Well done the hunts - 15587
