Dont listen to all the rumours JJ As is every Pre-Season, all clubs will all approach players and because we have a lot of good ones they will obviously be approached as well! I personally know that several have been offered money to go elsewhere both in Div 1 and the Prem. We cannot compete with that and wont try to. We will expect to lose 2 or 3 and gain 2 or 3 that is the norm, the challenge is to try and improve the whole squad and we have been hard at work to try and do that. Improving an unbeaten Championship winning side is difficult (but not impossible ) watch this space ;D

Figo , your standard run of the mill patter doesnt wash with me and you know that!!!! Sounds like to me your a worried man on the player front...any reason for this?? . Also i agree with you on still improving the team as sometimes looks flatter to deceive EG the docking of points for sleaford came at the perfect time for you when they were only just 3pts behind and closing in , and you and your boys were starting to bottle again! Remeber i was there so dont deny the bum twicthing!!!!!!!! Also your unbeaten season also papered over the huge MASSIVE schoolboy management error that was made in the junior cup blunder v k'bury - A situation where you underestimated them and changed both squads that weekend and to say it went PEARSHAPED was an understatement , this was a situation that i had pre - warned you about for weeks before and if you can remember afterwards you apoligised to me for getting it wrong . The apology i respected but there were many at the club that wanted you sacked after that and i do think JJ was under pressure but credit to him he stuck with you and to your credit you(and the players} delivered the unbeaten run . I do not normally do "IFS AND BUTS" but everyone involves knows that things could have turned out very different . You , your team are not great shakes AND your lge win doesnt impress me , im coming to get you figo and when the opportunity arrises for me to compete versus you and others in that division.......then we'll see how good you all are

The pressure of going unbeaten would affect everyone SS even you, though it was noted the support that you offered everyone at the club. I have said it many times, someone wins the league every year and whilst you dont always have to be great, the table never lies. Going the season unbeaten at our level happens every 100 years so lots have bottled it, including Prem champs Deeping who were after that record as well. In summing up though, best defence in the Division, 14 points dropped, 2nd best attack behind Sleaford, so something was working...........great set of players and management working well, I hope they stay for this seasons challenge.

The competition was weak and i think other managers would put their hands up to that........rather than say Whitworths were great set of players . Also any team that wins lgs needs a slice of luck and figo had plenty last season , perhaps these things even themselves out ? Also in your reply you do not mention the junior cup farce as that was poor management , infact amateur to say the least and everyone at the club inc you could see that situation happening before it did . I would never have allowed that to happen and would of went on to win the junior cup , i would also have won the lge by a big and better margin and instead of being over the moon about going unbeaten - i would have been dissapointed if i had'nt . There is nothing from what anybody has seen of me in action to suggest that i couldnt back up what im saying...i coming to get you boys ALL of you!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the opposition was weak, the league was poor, we were lucky, I didnt know what I was doing, we had no players, we have got no players, we wont get no players, I made mistakes, players made mistakes, ref's made mistakes, we are amature, we lost in the Junior Cup QF to a last minute goal after underperforming on the day, we could have won the league by a bigger margin, etc, etc, etc all things that can be said and is your perogative to say. Personnally I wouldnt say things like that out of respect for other clubs, players and managers, also all your comments are open to some conjecture. We maybe could have won 1 or 2 more games, maybe? Also the squad for Kislingbury was the same one that won 3-2 away at PNS in the previous game (the 1st time Whitworths had ever won there) I remaind faithfull to them, so I believed we should have won, Kislingbury beat us on the day thats football. Facts are much more relevant so I will say: We won Division One UCL - Fact We did it unbeaten - Fact We created club history - Fact We created League history - Fact We had the joint best defence in the division - Fact We scored the joint highest goals in the division - Fact We had the clubs record away win, 9-1 v Oundle We had the clubs record home win, 12-1 v Weldon We can only beat what is in front of us - Fact I made errors (apparently I am only human!) but I was aware of them and thats why I will address them and I believe we can and will be better next season. So SS I dont really care what does or does not impress you neither do I have to explain myself to you only to my committee. Also I am content with what has impressed my team, the club, supporters, opponents and the history books. But that was last season and is now old history to me. When you go and do the same, or surpass it, I will be the 1st to shake your hand and say well done because you will have deserved it. Until then... haha

I would just add that Factual data is all the History books have and they will say Whitworth FC, unbeaten, league champions 2006 / 2007.
