Put out of 2 cups this season due to fielding an ineligible player, reserves benevolent cup,and the league cup. They didn't want to win the league cup.all they wanted to do was beat us,so to get out of playing the rest of the competition, did they know he was ineligible? Being removed from a competition you didn't really want to play in is no punishment, like telling a kid who hates school, that his punishment for not going,is not to go any more.Financial penalties will do them no harm,so what will be their punishment? I await the outcome with baited breath.

As has been said before, this has happened on three occasions now, virtually no punishment, will the league bottle it again?

Yes St neots were allowed to stay in the competition replay or not, where any other club would have been kicked out and it was a cup tied player your keeper had played for Huntingdon Town already in the same competition.

We would like it if we won it,but it was not top of our list of priorities, due to the fact the tough run-in we have,we were glad in a way to be knocked out. That would mean an extra 2 games for St Neots, but now they have been excluded it means we have 2 extra games we could do without, you just couldn't plan it better if you tried.

Wasn't meant to come across as arrogance, just forgot to put in possibly another 2 games, many apologies, and the guys we will play at St Ives know us better than that, they know we wouldn't just presume we had won it,apologies for bad wording once more.

No problem mate. I shouldn't be so anal. All the best at Coalville today.

Apologies to the people at St.Neots & Kings Lynn who find the League Cup such a bore, but want to say hats off to PNS reaching the final yesterday. Top effort to maintain their standards throughout this first season in the Prem and fully deserved their victory yesterday (even though the late winner looked like a bit of a foul!).
Talking of foul, I understand the club are keen to get the address of the St.Neots centre half who had to leave the pitch suddenly the other night to return to him what he deposited in the bottle bank when he found that the changing room door was locked!

Great shout tommyc. I looks like Kings Lynn & St Neots look at the League Cup as a competition they dont want to be in after reading & hearing comments over the last few weeks. This is disrespecting the competition itself as well as the other teams that are trying to win the cup. It's a little bit like the so-called big english Premierleague teams who do the same thing in the Carling Cup. It's a case of being too arrogant & selfish...."We are bigger than the Cup" etc etc. Big-headed big-time charlies !
