At the league management committee meeting held on Monday 28th March it was decided that St Neots Town be removed from the League Knockout Cup following the inclusion of Gavin Strachan, a player whose contract with Hinckley United had not been cancelled with the Football Association, in their quarter final win over Kings Lynn Town.
Kings Lynn Town have been reinstated in the competition and will visit St Ives Town in the semi final.
Oh dear another fixture for Lynn, how will they cope. Probably play the reserves.

Can't believe some of the drivel being posted on the Lynn Forum at the moment. Play the reserves, play the youth team..........it's not long ago they were really grateful to the UCL for accepting them when it "appeared" they were not wanted anywhere else. To now demean one the League's Competitions is absolutely disgusting and only gives people more ammunition to add them to St Notes on their list of Clubs to "not Like". I'm sure that should they fail in their other Competions they will be gagging for a K O Cup Final against PNS, probably at somewhere like Holbeach or St Neots, to hopefully have something to show in their first season as a new Club. A little bit of respect sirs, it shows the League have no favourites and if you didn't want to go through, why didn't you play an ineligible player and then your wishes would have come true.

Some of the Lynn fans have been calling the UCL a 'pub league' and other such demeaning references since they joined so why is everyone so shocked now!?!?!?!? And i've heard it directly from some fans before i get abuse hurled at me, St Neots made a mistake, surely no-one believes that it was deliberate not knowing consequences???
I personally want to see my team win every match

Can’t think that anyone would be surprised about how some of KL supporters view the UCL?
Frankly any mention of them on here is rarely accompanied with any positive comments or responses.
At the most it will be another season anyone has to put up with it.
Its all very well for the FA to knock them down two leagues but a potential trip to Wembley and a bunch of trophies isn’t exactly a punishment is it?. Meanwhile for the rest it means 2 seasons of not winning anything but a bumper gate once a season?
Grin and bare it I guess?

Why is it only on here that people feel they have the right to slag us off? Every ground i have been to the home fans have been really accommodating and couldn't have been nicer,even at St Neots despite our obvious rivalries.Many of the comments on the Lynn forum are made tongue in cheek,as we know we were lucky to be taken into the league.If it wasn't for Lynn and St Neots people would have nothing to moan about,beware any other team who happens to find themselves at the top when we have both gone. ;D

Mass punch up,handbags at dawn by 3-4 fans,swiftly dealt with by the stewards,order restored,only needs a few bigots to big it up and it will just be perpetuated for time in memorium.Just out of curiosity Cookie,which team do you profess to follow? Or are you on here just to stir things? No rose tinted glasses where i am,just show me one person who has stood up and told me that King's Lynn are horrible,we don't want them here? |
