Thanks chick for your comments.May i add that you must have been mistaken with your identification as there were no hobbits in the vicinity on Saturday Refferring to the chants in the changing room, yes i did hear them on the way to the changing room and no, i cannot condone or agree with them. When i got in there the players were incensed over the incident off the ball at the end of the game when 1 of your players cowardly thumped our centre half when he wasnt looking and then walked away.It was a good job the centre half was held back.Only came on here to give my views and hold no contempt towards Thrapston FC.It just sounded all one sided and it was far from it.As for the "average" comment that i heard, i thought the reply was really funny, "WELL THATS AN IMPROVEMENT THEN".Tickled me that did.Regards Tom.

Wot a crock of rubbish you talk cam.Salad dodger eh lol i havnt heard that many times.........Much.Whilst i have the greatest respect for the UCL i and their teams i have no respect for a football team that tried to kick the crap out of us on Saturday. If you were honest in your assessment then you would also agree that Thrapston were very late on a number of occassions. It was always going to be who took their chances as i thought both teams had plenty.I do not regret anything that happened on the sidelines as ANY manager would not have condoned what went on during the game by the Thrapston players.I do not need to look at myself as i stand by my players. You gave it the big one when you were kicking us but didnt like the comeback. And you come on a website to voice your opinions yet were very quiet on the day, funny that isnt it?As for cl saying we were a disgrace i remember them giving it the big one in the dugout when they were 3v1 up but soon shutup when it was 4v3 to us.It cuts both ways gentlemen accept it.We are pleased to have come this far in the competition so thanks for calling us a bunch of tossers some of you as you have inspired us.May i take this opportunity to say well done to Higham and wish them well and look forward to a good day at their place. ;D Tompsl, you were always going to defend your team and thats fair enough but if you look at the comments from some of the inpartial people who watched the game they back up my original views?? Anyway its done now and there is no point in going over old ground but I just thought your bench (or you, if it was you that got involved with our full back) were out of order. So lets leave it at that. I would like to wish you all the best in the Semi's at Higham but.........................I WONT, I HOPE YOU GET STUFFED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to Joe and the Whitworths lads tomorrow in their quarter final cup match with Kislingbury. Hopefully they can get the game played as Whitworths must be chomping at the bit to get some football played. Lets hope it dries out down at whitworths and the game can be played.
Good luck Joe

Yes thats very true. Watched the game and thought Whitworths were not at their best. My personal view is i thought they had the wrong team out and once again i think they thought they would win with whatever team they put out. fair play to Kislingbury who finished the game very well and good luck to them in the semi final.

come on cam give us another laugh eh? hope whitworth draw us in the semi's then thrash us yeah? think u have 2 be in it 2 win it mucker!!! ;D cld it poss be that no ucl sides make it 2 the final any1 know when that last happened if we get beat in the semi's then so be it, but its real nice 2 be still in with a shout in all the cups and our crappy league ref 2 our park we play on, how many of ur ucl clubs have a very large clubhouse and function rooms?,u can watch the game from the bar if it rains and a pitch with herrinbone drainage which doesn't look like a bog (thrapston) but hats of 4 the new buildings., our only down side is our changing rooms r pants and could do with a bit of work.

Mr flynn and big Al, calm down its give and take in this game, humility and respect from both sides go a long way.

sadly I think the question is perhaps highlighted by next seasons comment "standards getting closer?" I know its cup football and anything can happen however I think its more than relevant to consider perhaps UCL Division One football is not that far ahead of Combination? I cant say that I have seen many comb sides that have impressed however from what I have seen of Division One UCL over the last few seasons.. I cannot say the standard has improved!!

It is true UCL Watcher that Whitworths were dumped out of the cup by Kislingbury who took their chances and fair play to them. They mixed it up but were not out of order and quite rightly celebrated their win afterwards without insulting the home side. Good luck to them in the next round and for the rest of the competition.
