from what ive seen of the reserves this season, stevie wonder could have guided them to third.the last three years since their div 2 days, they've been making natural progression and with the help of the big lad up front(carlton ellwood) scoring 30 plus, it aint all about 'gifts'.as with any club, young lads develop, get stronger, learn more and want to achieve for themselves, the manager puts the cherry on the cake, dont you think? im sure your only kidding with your'I AM THE KING' routine, but as im sure you have said before, its all about the players. We played whitworths earlier on in the season,we won but even then the potential was there to see.

Some good points in there Billyboy and yes having Carlton score 40 goals makes a huge difference. Also the young lads who develop from James Clarke's U18's made an impact (2 progressing to the 1st team by end of season) but the Manager pulls it together and to be fair to SS it did all coincide with him becoming more involved. So top marks to Joe for bringing him on board.

It had nothing to do with Joe who brought me in , it had nothing to do with the " big lad up front " , it had nothing to do with the excellant young lads who came in , it had nothing to do with the experience of the awesome Sarge and Wezza.... and last but not least it had nothing to do with the existing ressy players who welcomed everybody in and worked their socks off........It was all because of " THE GIFT " that i was born with . As for Stevie Wonder , I've not got a clue who or what your talking about , what team does he manage or play for ? Is he not very good ?

What ? Are you saying he is very good then ? Because on your posting above you say that " even stevie wonder could have guided Whitworths res to third ".......Suggesting he was very poor BUT now you say he is " blinding "....... Billyboy make your mind up , is he good or not ?

Does it really matter any more wht happened last year.the resreves finished third and now scully has gone time for a new manager and a new season.yes the reseves finished third very good.they could have won it under sarge but towards the end more players went into the first team and others left.but you dont see sarge on here bigging it up.time to start talking and planning for next year and stop living in the past

Spot on Draper time to move on. Last season is now in the Clubs history and is a significant marking point but the challenge now is to go one better. Finish ahead of Cogenhoe and Spencer reserves, 1st team to hold off fresh challenges of Buckingham, Daventry United (Ford Sports) and £1k / wk player power Daventry Town.

I dont believe it's the end.I personally think you'll be laying the smackdown for years to come.I do hope your team's confidence matches your own and you get corths into div 1 so you can play mazey's whitworths. I think it would be an entertaining contest, especially the sideline banter.

Not really , I would just threathen to smash him and his big nose boss and that would be the end of that , then of course we would give them a footballing lesson. However and i probably shouldnt say this but i am going to corinths of course to support 1st team but to develop for the future - looking after my own interests { perhaps not the best choice of words} for when the opportunity in time the 1st team job becomes available , so going into rd1 doesnt really matter or not INFACT it maybe easier to put things in place better in rd2 . Having said that im not sure how much of a diff in standard rd1 rd2 will now be bearing in mind that big clubs such as Corby town , daventry town , potton , wotton blue cross and kempston have entered res teams into rd2.. of course i always go to win every match and it will be interesting to see where we finish in a 16/17 team lge considering corinths res last year only won 2/3 lge matches..So alot of work to do and hence why in previous posts i do say its a massive challenge for me in a "development sense". winning matches and leagues is good but sometimes papers over the cracks in terms of your clubs structure - just as whitworths have neglected and will find out in the next couple of seasons!!! Anyway Billyboy please leave me alone.....IM TRYING TO GET OFF THIS WEBSITE ONCE AND FOR ALL and i cant keep coming back to the "WHITWORTHS FORUM" that my popularity created!! over and out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
