Pringle. I think you either have a bout of the January Blues or your memory is deceiving you. If you check out the Whitworths 1 Dav Town 7 thread back in November you will see that it was widely accepted that there was a disagreement (to put it politely) between Patto and Goosey. My main point was that as at most clubs when things aren't going as well as expected then tempers run high and the backbiting begins. I'm sure Ollie would love to know the players involved!!

SS you seem rather defensive over your involvement at BPW, or that is how it seems to come across. As for the jig, nobody has suggested that you did it in front of Joe and his bench.

Yes ,I have got the january blues as you put it. I know I am getting old but as your thread said it was Scott and Patto when in fact it was the Goose and Patto. No matter, there was a "conversation" between two lads who wanted to win or at least wanted to put it right. Happens all the time. Back biting!!!! Whitworths !!!! No ,that cant be right ? Good Luck,I enjoy your comments.

My memory is packing up!! It wasn't until I checked the earlier thread that I realised that it was indeed Goosey and not Scott that had the half time "conversation"!!
Hope you get a good result against Huntingdon on Saturday although Alfredstreeter may have his wish come true looking at this weekend's weather forecast (ha ha).

Reality check? Not sure BB as that comes when like for like for me and as half the squad of 0607 is not there then not easy to compare. I think as with Sileby and others previously, top players move on when you cannot and we have to re-build. To be fair, I am amazed we have played so badly this season and yet are still in with a shout of second.
Incidentally jamie Black wont be going anywhere as he has an FA holiday until the 27th April 08 but very talented lad as is Ollie Rendall. Difficulty when you are a defender and I include the keepers here, you make a mistake and it often ends up as a goal, but if the strikers put away the chances, no-one worries about the odd mistake too much and that about sums up last saturday. Should have been a high scoring game as neither defence was that good. Callan strike for BPW 3rd was a beauty though.

Glad your'e enjoying it SS and wish you well. I for one will look forward to meeting up with you when Corinths face BPW (twice) post February.
Pete has a good shot on him. I remember seeing him score a cracker for Corinths in their FA Vase game early in the season.

JJ cant believe you have watched as much football as you have but still fail to recognize an excellent defensive performance from the whole team but mainly from the defense itself please don't say your going down the slippery slope of not recognizing other teams performances and putting the blame on your team for not winning, i really hope not because this dose lead to a very biased opinion and i for one had you down as a level headed man with a very good grasp on reality don't fall into the trap be strong be brave.

JJ is a legeng.!!
The rubish that is being talked about Joe is beyond belief!! Witworths are and always be a respected team in this league. Any thoughts about the demise of whitworths should be censorered!!!!!

Nobody was talking about Joe or the management. The thread was about Whitworths current form and title aspirations. It was questioning certain areas and certainly not the demise of the league champions, lets get that straight. Apparantly Joe has resigned so it looks like the search is on or maybe his assistant will step up. Maybe this might change the current form or it might make it worse, who knows?. One final opinion, when comments are censored Merko, we all lose our freedom to truthfully comment on our teams or rivals. This is why this forum is in place. We're all adults so just deal with the thread or like admin has stated "start your own"

BB, Well said. Joe resigned for a number of reasons, prime one being his job and the time he has to give it. Another reason was the relentless back biting going on and he told the first team squad that to their faces in no uncertain way, Football moves on,it always does, but a few of the players should take a long look at themselves before fingers are pointed. I know the time and effort Joe put into that club and some people could not be bothered to even turn up and after he told the squad only one bloke said thank you!!! nuf said. Whits are still league champions or is that forgotten? ??

looks like alot of contraversy at whits. joe has done the club very proud in the last 3 years and should take a lot of credit for his work. its a shame the players cannot see and respect this. Where will he go from here? anything jobs lined? superscully to take the reigns at his former club?

If that is the case which I'm sure it could be, the players should be ashamed as you quite rightly put. Footballers always seem to think that they have created everything good and contributed to nothing bad, as we all know this is not the case. I agree that Joe should be proud of his and the clubs achievements and it'll be interesting to see what happens next.
Stay tuned.
