If Joe has been reading this thread then I think he would have felt badly let down over some of the comments made particularly about the off the field back biting etc. It seems to me that certain individulals haven't been at all happy about tactics, team selection etc. It would be interesting to hear whether or not the same individuals are now happier with the current situation!!. From the outside looking in I think Whitworths will be in a sorrier state now that Joe is no longer at the healm. I hope that he gets back involved in the local scene as quickly as possible. All the best Joe.

Well done Joe. It will be a long time until a team goes unbeaten through a season again if ever.

BB wind your neck in. My reference to the jibes being censored was merely tongue in cheek. Sorry you didn't read it that way.

i think Joe can hold his head high and he for one will know that, He inherited a very good team when he took over as manager and quickly added 2 or 3 good players which made the team great. Then going on to win the title unbeaten without any budget speaks for it's self, people are saying now that the team has broken up because of his team selections, if this was the case the team would've broken up last season as some of his selections then were frounded upon then, but he stuck to what he thought was best and it won him and the team the title, players have left the club purely because they wanted to play at the next level, family comitments and work related reasons. if the club was up to spec and had gone up last season every player would still be there now, that is a fact, nothing to do with Joe, good luck in what you choose to do next big nose (definatly bigger than Lineos!)

Had dealings with Joe earlier in the season, with reference to a player transfer. He was a top bloke and I (we) wish him well in what he does next.

It would be nice to hear JJ's comments on the departure of Joe!!! I am reliably informed that know the knives have been removed from his back he is in fine form, somewhat disappointed he was overlooked for the Spurs job. JJ was last seen,I am told, out in a small boat around the area of the halfway line at Whits, which has now been renamed"London Road Marina" and boat trips are being organised,as we speak, to take in the sights of Wellinborough, stopping at Ms H for tea. The trips will then continue via the "Dog and Duck" arena floating slowly through the goal area, probably the closest anybody has been all year!!!!!

Not good timing for me as I was about to head off skiing in Austria only returning last night. Had a great conversation with Joe and without doubt no-one can doubt his achievements these last 30 months. He did a great job for the club, moved it forward when no-one thought he could after his appointment and certainly helped me with getting the grant we needed to move forward again. Good luck to him for the future though I know work is his number one priority.
Fortunate that Kevin Fox was happy to take over and more so that our ground was flooded for the home game with Huntingdon. I think the time he had with the players proved worthwhile with the result last weekend so hopefully seemless transition.
Thanks again to Joe for everything and good luck to Kevin.

Rumour at the club today was that Shaun Allen was preferred in goal to Patto. Having seen quite a lot of both keepers I am completely mystified if this is the case. Understandably I wouldn't think Patto would be too happy over the decision.

Merko, spot on mate, spot on. Having seen them both play but Patto a lot more than Shaun,to me ,no contest. But, talk is the word is attitude and comfort zone.Patto on his day is as good as it gets at this level and could get even better with Foxys help. Also heard that CJ going to Raunds? ?

Not sure that Carvell is good enough for the prem just yet although he would certainly fit in with Colin's youth policy!!

Not a done deal yet but potentially too good for Raunds just needs someone like Foxy to work with him. Plenty said Foster was not good enough fo rthe Prem but DC at Cogenhoe has done a great job with him. CJ still a young lad.
