first and more importantly hope keeper makes a full, quick and speedy recovery
secondly - was great to see some old friends
and thirdly - Was a great game to watch for the neutral, great example of ucl football, as for the ref - mmm... Il take the 5th on that one.... just ask Chris caswell to show you his face, (not that it affected his game...) due to the several times he got kicked in it - and the refs defense was ''WE HAVE SMALL PLAYERS..... !!
any way we look forward to the next game......

Good for us to get back on track last night and played pretty well for an hour.
127 was a decent turn out when up against Barca v Arsenal and the floodlights have certainly helped with our crowds - up over 40% this season and heading towards the 100 average target we set ourselves.
Just got to get points against our bogey side, the most improved team in the league, the champions elect before a 3rd place shoot out on the last day of the season to get promoted - simples!!

Great turn out that TC There are many Southern league sides not getting that. I have always believed that UCL football has got something to offer the local football armchair fan. It is thinking out of the box to get them in the gate that is the secret

Slightly changing the direction but can anyone help / confirm what the heck is going on with promotion? As it stands are Irchester and Eynesbury going up? The Eynesbury Manager has been quoted in a local this week saying that 4 wins will ensure them promotion? What about PNS?

PNS will be going up even if they do finish 3rd. Eynesbury did not get their ground sorted in time for the required deadline. Think Eynesbury's manager will be pretty upset if and when his chairman get's round to telling him.

A draw for PNS on Saturday and a win for Eynesbury will mean 66 points each and promotion for PNS on goal difference (unless Eynesbury win 22 - 0). That deducted point could prove very costly.

Wish I had not rung Eynesbury at half-time and found out "1-0 to rovers - thats Kempston rovers sorry" was the situation and got all excited!
Fair do's to Eynesbury, who despite losing twice to us have stuck with it really well. A bit of me would rather win the promotion on the pitch but so long as we do of course. Means a few jangled nerves between now and 3pm Saturday, but then that's what we are in the game for isn't it?
Hope we get a decent turn out Saturday - last week was crap and I think people might have forgotten about us as we had only played at home 1 out of the past 19 Saturdays!

tommyc, you say "rather win promotion on the pitch", does that mean you will still go up if you come 3rd? Would that mean 3 go up? According to Eynesbury they have applied to go up and are waiting for a decision on May 10th??
