Sorry fellas but I thought the rules for promotion to step 4 allowed for a newly promoted club to attain the FA Grading by 31st March following their promotion, same as from step 6 to step 5? In terms of the grading I reckon it's a bit like an MOT - OK on the day it was tested, but the cerificate means nothing about the state of repair the day after. If LB have a current grading (and they have) surely they can be promoted if they are in a promotion position ... Aren't those the rules no matter what any of us may think. Happy to be shot down in flames! Jeff Having just read the FA Ground Grading and Ground Improvements- Section 2 The Ground Grading Process it quite clearly states that the club promoted has until the 31st March of the following year AFTER gaining promotion to complete any improvements. If failing to achieve those improvements then relegation may result. Clubs being promoted from Step 5 to Step 4 are inspected BEFORE gaining promotion, Step 4 and above are inspected after gaining promotion.

As far as i understand it, grade F is required at step 5 level, grade E is required in order to be promoted to step 4 by the 31st of March before gaining promotion and grade D is required after 1 year at step 4, by the 31st of March deadline. Therefore Buckby should have been graded for the 'E' grade by now, which they should have failed due to the floodlight issues.

You could argue that the grading issue may come into play depending on how the two sides end up. However it's the end of season and i'm feeling generous at the moment

There is a laybye around 3/4 of a mile down from the ground where your coaches cold possibly park. Car drivers will have to be very careful as the police are booking anybody parked in the wrong place. As for contact numbers the Ground Telephone No is 01327 842682. Good luck with the parking.

It's very confusing but it seems that to move from Step 6 to 5 you have to move from Grade G to (at least) F but could be E or even D. To move from Step 5 to 4 the Club could feasibly go from Grade F (or E) to D if they can make improvements (to D) by 31 March of the next season after gaining promotion, or face relegation. There is no mention of attaining Grade E before being eligible for promotion. Sorry to be "off subject" but it is relevant!

Back to topic. Tonight LB 5 - 0 PNS. Saturday could be the decider if KLT win? The Bucks on 93 points can make a maximum of 108. If they lose, that max becomes 105 and the Linnets will have 105.

We just need to go into the game thinking nothing but a win will do,as with all our games, win win win! To hell with all these people who think draws will suffice, its got to be wins!

Grissles, not long got back from out "home" game at Northampton Spencer, done match report and now logged on here, plenty of fans from KL tonight, Setch was there along with some reporters from your local press.
From talking to Secretary I understand that he has emailed your Sec with relevant details on parking etc. parking will be similar to last season on front pitch with available parking at local railway station(250 yards) and parking for main coaches in front of club house. Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, may the best team win, it should be a great advert for UCL football.

Any special bar arrangements, Buckbyman? Holbeach coped very well with the thirsty ones on Monday but have the advantage of two bars to serve from which meant they could put plenty of barstaff on. From memory you have just the one smallish bar so it might be a problem on Saturday. Obviously you will prefer supporters to spend over your bar but, in the event of people looking for a pint elsewhere in the town, is there a pub with any sort of link to the club by way of sponsorship etc?
